Rising Stars: Meet Elysa Baino of West Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elysa Baino

Hi Elysa, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in France in an Italian household, I grew up with both cultures. My passion for performing arts started at very young age, I sing, act and dance. I’ve always wanted to come to US and specifically LA since I was a kid. I remember talking to my mom about it and telling her that when I would turn 18 I would book a flight and move to the other side of the world. I turned 18 worked for a year, saved some money and moved to New York to pursue my dreams. I lived in New York for 3 years, and I’ve now been in LA for a little over a year. I started by posting singing covers on youtube, I performed live in NY, released my first single in 2021 called “Sunrise”, then moved to LA and started modeling and acting a lot more. This city has been so inspiring, I love that I can express my passion in so many different ways, wether it’s through singing, acting or dancing ! I’ve always been very driven and goal-oriented, I love to challenge myself, and this journey has been one of a kind ! It has been pushing me out of my comfort zone and forced me to recreate myself more than once. I feel extremely grateful for all the ups and downs that shaped me into the person I am today, but most importantly I am grateful for being able to go after my dreams in a city where new opportunities arise everyday.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing good in life comes easy. One of my biggest stuggle has been being a young woman with dreams and hope in a foreign country, where I haven’t always had the best support system, or no support system at all. I had to let go of many situations and people that didn’t align with my inner purpose. I’ve also always had to be extremely careful to what people’s intentions were, it can be very difficult to navigate this industry. This journey has been about being open to change and evolve constantly. It’s never been a smooth road, but that’s also the beauty of it !

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a singer – actress – model – dancer. I started singing and dancing at very young age and kept on working on my craft ever since. I’ve always been creative, I have many songs that I wrote that need to be released, I write and sing Rnb, Pop and Soul songs. I always had a big interest in acting as well and since moving to LA I’ve been working in that field a lot more.
I’m currently signed in agency for print & commercial work, and seeking theatrical representation. My dance journey started with dancehall, I’ve now opened myself to different styles such as Hip-hop and Commercial.
Having many passions can sometimes create a lot of confusion, not necessarily knowing where to set priorities, but what I’ve realized is that wether it’s through singing, dancing or acting I have a need to express and share. I want to connect with people.
I find fulfillment in helping and leading others, art is my perfect outlet. I want people listening to my music, to feel more connected to their soul and others, but more importantly to feel alive, and embrace whatever feeling comes up. Each time I play a character, I discover a new side of myself, it’s so therapeutic to be able to show so many different colors of my personality.
Adding onto that I’m a very sensitive person and feel everything deeply, art is my voice free of any condition and limit, it’s my truth that craves to be heard.

Any big plans?
In the future, I’m planning on taking my music career to the next level, really putting myself out there, and also performing live.
In regards to acting, I’ll keep on auditioning, I have a couple projects to look forward to, submissions to film festivals as well, and planning on getting my theatrical representation. Dancing will always be part of who I am, I’ll keep on training, I’ll keep on doing what feels good, putting in the work, trust the process and enjoy the journey !
