Today we’d like to introduce you to Ebony Belser.

Hi Ebony , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My name is Ebony Belser CEO/Founder of ECBCREATIONS, LLC. A multifaceted brand/business where I specialize in handmade crochet clothing, accessories, Vegan Cosmetics, and home goods. Today I would like to focus on ECBC LLC’s GROWING sister brand Ecbcosmetics. After a few years in business being a handmade brand overall, I wanted to branch out more to exploring other interest of mine, by hand of course. I’ve always had a interest in ‘beauty’ and natural enhancements so one day, during a very rough time in my life where I was forced to sit down for a few months due to a horrible accident, I came up with Ecbcosmetics. The rest is history (still in the making).

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road. In all honesty it took me a while to even get the idea/business off the ground being that I wanted to learn and be informed about products, ingredients, colors, etc. pertaining to makeup/cosmetics so that I would be targeting a specific audience. Again, I specialize in vegan cosmetics, meaning the difference between my products and others that are not vegan, is that it takes a little more effort and a lot more knowledge and testing in order to create a good sustainable product dedicated and embodying ‘clean beauty’. Some struggles along the way came with testing different products from different vendors, creating a list of ingredients that actually work together, the science behind it all alone was a struggle. Then, promoting and actually working to get the audience to trust and genuinely LOVE the product that I take so much time, effort, and energy in to. All and all it’s all been worth it.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in handmade crochet clothing, accessories, vegan cosmetics, and hand made home goods. I am the CEO, PR, designer, creative director, etc. for ECBCREATIONS, LLC. Along with my amazing supporters, I’m the captain of this ship I built. I love my brand and the business that I’ve created simply off of doing exactly what I love to do. I’ve been in business (online and pop up shops) for 9 years now, consistently and I’m so proud of how far I’ve come, the expansion of the business, and what’s more to come. What sets me apart from others is my authenticity, I genuinely do this for the love, not the money, not the attention, not the fame, but purely for the enjoyment and the service. I believe I serve a greater purpose in life other than creating cool things. It’s more about the inspiration and the impact that I have on my peers and community.

ECBCREATIONS, LLC can be supported in multiple ways, shopping, donating, etc. I offer 1 on 1 crochet lessons, I’ve collaborated with businesses for crochet workshops and have done a number of markets and pop up shops where supporters can come out, spread the word, and/or just get to know me and the business in general.
