Today we’d like to introduce you to Dominic Palacios.
Hi Dominic, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have been a fan of electronic dance music since 2010.
I loved the genre so much that I’ve decided to make a career out of it.
What I do is I work w artists and I do the following material for them:
Capture videos and photos which then convert into marketing material for their pages.
In addition, I create tour flyers, promo vids, etc. for them.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road.
Tbh there has been a lot of challenges. For instance, the pandemic really played a big role in telling the future of my career in this.
I wasn’t sure whether or not I was going to stay afloat w my business.
In addition, it was sad because I wasn’t sure what the future of my career was going to be because at the time there were so many talented videographers and photographers that started agencies that it really had me question my value and worth.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Essentially I am a digital content creator. I create content for DJs/artists and brands.
I can do the following:
– Tour coverage
– Live-streaming services
– Graphic design work
– Social media management
With the work that I am doing, it is then used be promoted onto brands/artist’s pages.
Some of the material is also promoted on a lot of social media channels and more.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I think success isn’t measured by your material gain. I think success is just built based on what you define it as. Striving toward whatever it is that gives you motivation, etc.
