Rising Stars: Meet Deanne Moore

Today we’d like to introduce you to Deanne Moore.

Deanne, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I began my career as a Loan Processor while I was an undergrad at SDSU. At the time, I was preparing to be an educator and had no interest in mortgage lending other than to do a good job while I was working on my degree. It wasn’t until I bought my first property and a subsequent rental property that I saw my role differently. It became extremely important for me to encourage others to fire their landlord and to buy their piece of the American pie. After taking the necessary classes and passing my test – on the first try – I KNEW I was headed in the right direction. I submitted my resignation to the school district and returned to real estate to nurture my passion to see others succeed in purchasing their own home.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road – and I wouldn’t have it any other way. We learn the most about ourselves through adversity. I have learned through the trials that life presents to appreciate the triumphs even more.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My role in the home buying process is the finances – THE MONEY! It’s my job to assist people in securing the financing necessary to purchase a home.

I am especially passionate about working with and for first-time homebuyers. Having been in that position before, I know how important it is to have someone by your side that can encourage you and patiently get you through the process.

I am most proud of the work that I do for singles and families. Often before they get to me, they’ve been told no but haven’t been given the tools to turn that no into a resounding yes. I am proud of the work I get to do with those who want to buy and build a legacy of generational wealth.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
My perspective on risk-taking is this: We wake up every day with a choice. We can choose to be great and make every effort to achieve greatness. Or, we can take the easy route and do what’s comfortable. There is a reason that the good fruit is high up in the tree. You have to stretch, you have to reach to get it. That’s how life is – the sweetest parts of it require a little effort, a little stretching, and a lot of reaching. Take risks!
