Rising Stars: Meet Daze DaVinci

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daze DaVinci.

Hi Daze, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Blessed & Abundant.

Thank you guys for having me back and allowing to share some updates on the journey and all the beautiful things that have been building and expanding!

Born in Hollywood, I feel as if I have lived a thousand lives and have been a part of so many different cultures and movements that have molded and inspired me along the way and played a huge part in the type of music and person I am today.

The brief run down is I started with poetry both spoken word and written, I was published at 18 years old and discovered by a musician who brought me into the studio and helped hone my craft in regards to using a microphone and the art of vocals and production. I released a song entitled ‘Blind Man’ which was a mixture of a written piece and hip hop and to my surprise it surpassed 100k on like hulkshare and youtube along time ago and it opened many doors I wasn’t ready for, that was the only piece of music I had, I had no plan, and ended up messing up that wave run opportunity because I just didn’t have enough music to feed the people who had heard the record and wanted more.

Flash forward to 2020, I’ve done huge shows, film, radio, fashion weeks, and whatever else but I had some sort of anxiety in regards to releasing the music and after a bad record deal, I was almost at a point of giving up.

However, everything happens for a reason, and after meeting my wife Maryna Kysla Williams, who is an International Award Winning pianist, and adapting to the world during COVID which meant no studios, no networking, just WORK. It allowed me to master my craft in its complete form and learn production, engineering, mixing, mastering, and the whole process that allows you to truly own your art in its full value.

Now present day, we are on the #ROAD2ABUNDANCE. Starting in August, I have been releasing a song a week, new and old, with some very special guests, huge producers, maryna’s piano blessings, and Live Projects from my HUGE catalogue of over 9+ years of music.

Last month was 100 Summers, Lookdown, UNFKWTBLE, and DROUGHT. Featuring production from the BROKERAGE, MKW, & 2 POINTS.

It’s been a wonderful experience to be able to start from scratch, from the ground up and beginning, and it brought back that hunger in me and within the level of the music itself so I’ve been appreciative of the struggles.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
This year has been more of a fight for my wife than for me, Her mother was in the heart of the conflicts in Ukraine and that energy, fear, and terror is just miserable and her stress about her mom who was a nurse in Kharkiv was just hard to watch, we felt helpless, I had to postpone my music because it just wasn’t the time, very hard to spread cheer when your family is suffering! We used music to help heal and did a charity event in Topanga, raised money and awareness for the cause and allowed everybody to release some stress via music and spread some positivity.

Thankfully we have SUCCESSFULLY gotten her mother and cat into the USA via the UnitingforUkraine program and reunited my wife with her mom who she hasn’t seen in 10 years. Truly AMAZING and I would like to thank Dr. Peter & his wife Charlene for everything they have done and Tatiana, if you can read this wow look at your English!! Bravo 🙂

The #ROAD2ABUNDANCE was back on track!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a MUSICIAN, ARTIST, CREATIVE, and BUILDER. I have been so focused on the music and the message it almost devours all my other hobbies at the moment.

This year alone I finished 2 Albums, 4 Mixtapes, and have been consistent in creating about 2-3 songs a day as part of the habit and something I learned from Prince no-matter what 1 song a day. Rain or Shine. Happy or Sad.

I created #TELESIS on Easter Sunday which was a LiveProject inspired by a phone call from my father who is serving a life sentence. Telesis meaning progress that is intelligently planned and directed. The tape was given a release date of 7 days from the call and that was that. Whatever happened, the tape was gonna get released and honestly, its one of my favorite creations which features people very close to my heart.

I also created #AKASHIKTAPE which is a collection of some of my favorite songs that had samples or clearance issues that I wouldn’t be able to properly release and its a tape that catches people off guard because of how unique the songs are and the transition of styles and genres.

And thanks to the legendary Smiley Jonez and BurningGuitars Clothing, Me & Maryna infiltrated Los Angeles Fashion Week with the combination of hip hop & classical music!

Aside from the music, I have been working with DECODED HQ in Santa Monica and have been community building in the field of NFTS and creatives. I put on one of the biggest NFT events in the city featuring Nicole Buffett, Maxamillian Zim, and Rahman Bello, allowing young and old creatives from all of the fields of creativity to network, connect, and grow together!

I have also been working with my wife to really bring something special to the culture and also blending a lot more classical music influence into the portfolio. Focusing on a solid positive message with a modern sound with the effort of inspiring and enlightening the younger generation and bringing in some of the best musical talents the world has to offer into the hip hop space and providing unique creatives with a platform via CULTURE360!

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
My love of MUSIC. I don’t care for genres or categories I love music and it’s a passion and addiction and honestly, something I don’t think I could live without. From the Beatles, Black Sabbath, Gypsy Kings, 2Pac, Ramones, Lil Wayne, Mozart, Horowitz, Kanye ETC! Some people are stuck in a weird mentality of GENRES. Let it go. 🙂
