Today we’d like to introduce you to Dameion Lucky Smith.
Hi Dameion Lucky, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Born with two mothers on the Westside of South Central LA, it was a beautiful struggle transitioning through life as we know it. At an early age, I knew that living in the conditions I was subjected to would only amount to a life that went against what I truly aspired to obtain. Gang Affiliated, Drug abuse, Drive-Bys, Shoot-outs, Robbery, I’ve seen it all in my section–literally.
Nonetheless, knowing my dreams and having motivation that came from my spirit combined with the heart-shaped the tunnel vision I have to this day! I was raised by the streets and wouldn’t want it any other way to be honest! It’s beauty in the struggle, I’ve learned that it’s just another sign to let you know that the universe and GOD loves you!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Smooth Road? I’ve never traveled that route. The paths I’ve been faced with have always been filled with hurdles and endless peaks and valleys–but that’s life right? I embrace change and also challenges.
In order to grow, you must GO! Go through it. Not around It, Not run from it. Not switch it out for something less challenging, I know I was made this way due to my upbringing. We couldn’t change certain factors and variables–we just got through it. Ten toes down. Chin Up and Thumbs held high!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Full time, I’m a Facility & Event Operations Manager for my alma mater, Cal State LA.
I’m also an assistant manager of field operations for the LA Galaxy, Stage Manager for the LA Kings, Lead Coach for Camps and Clinics for the LA Clippers, and Private Coach & Trainer in my downtime.
I specialize in event management and operations–If there is something that needs to be produced, I get called to make it happen. This happens when booked through outside entities and also through consulting. I’m known for my high energy which is infectious to say the least.
What sets me apart? It’s easy. No one possesses more energy than I on a daily. I’m filled with positive energy as a positivist and love that It can help the masses. I get booked to be myself so I couldn’t ask for a better profession.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, believe it or not, I was super shy despite my current personality shift. I was very much focused on sports and staying alive and out the way in South Central.
I was a NERD in every aspect of the world. But I was a cool weirdo as people labeled me. Now look at me 🙂
