Today we’d like to introduce you to Cooper Phillip
Hi COOPER, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Fifteen years ago, I moved to the United States with one dream: to become a recording artist. It’s been an incredible journey since then. I’ve released singles with millions of streams, filmed music videos, performed on international stages, and even toured the world, sharing not only my music but also a piece of myself through Biophonics—a voice method I developed that’s now helped over 60,000 clients across 72 countries.
But my path has never been just about performing. Along the way, I discovered a deep passion for mentorship. Today, I balance two careers that feel like extensions of each other. As a recording artist, I continue to create and release music. And as a vocal producer and coach, I have the privilege of mentoring at the Grammy U program at the Recording Academy, collaborating with artists on vocal productions, songwriting, and performances for albums, events, and television.
It’s been a journey of passion, growth, and discovery—a reminder that when you follow your dreams, they can lead you to places you never imagined.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My journey to success has been anything but smooth, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I truly believe that we grow the most through our failures—because let’s face it, success rarely teaches you as much.
When I came to New York at 19, I was an immigrant with no financial support, no connections, and barely a grasp of the English language. It was a bold and daunting decision to leave everything behind, to step into the unknown for the chance to chase my dream. Those early days were filled with challenges, but they shaped me in ways I never imagined.
Looking back, I see that every struggle, every moment of doubt, was worth it. Hard work has a way of paying off when you stay the course, no matter how tough the road gets.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’ve built my career around the voice—coaching, rehabilitation, vocal production, studio recording, and songwriting. Balancing these roles is both exhilarating and challenging, but that’s what makes it so fulfilling. Each side of my work seems to fuel the other in this beautiful, unexpected way.
When students come to train their voices, they often discover my music and connect with me as an artist. On the flip side, those who first discover my songs are often inspired to explore their own vocal potential, leading them to my courses or private coaching.
For me, it’s all about self-expression. Whether I’m on stage performing or in the studio mentoring, it’s two different paths that somehow share the same heart.
How do you define success?
Success is the harmony between effort and joy—a place where the work you pour your heart into feels less like labor and more like flow. It’s not about pushing harder; it’s about aligning with your purpose so deeply that even the challenges become part of the blessing. True success is being gifted the chance to do what you love and letting that love radiate through everything you create.
