Hi Cindy, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story began right after high school in 2009 when I started working for an event company. Over time, I worked my way up, learning everything from the business side to wedding timelines, and gaining invaluable experience in the industry. In 2015, while photographing event details for our social media, a photographer noticed my work and took me under her wing. She taught me everything about wedding photography, from lighting to composition, and I was instantly hooked! I fell in love with the beauty of weddings, capturing all the special moments and little details that make each one unique. That’s when I knew I had to go all in and start my own photography business. And now, I get to do what I love every single day—helping couples relive one of the best days of their lives through my lens!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been quite a journey! While things were going smoothly and even during the pandemic, everything felt right, and I was on track to becoming a fully booked photographer. But life had other plans—when I got pregnant with my twin boys, things took a challenging turn. My pregnancy was tough, and postpartum was even harder. Baby blues are real, and for me, they lasted nearly two years. During that time, my focus was entirely on my twins. Thankfully, with the support of my wonderful husband and a lot of faith, I managed to get through it. Now, I’m excited to be back in the wedding photography world, working hard to get back to where I was and reach my goal of being fully booked for weddings. Every day is a step closer to making that dream a reality!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a wedding photographer, and my specialty is making couples feel at ease on their big day so I can capture those authentic, heartfelt moments. My goal is to help you relax and enjoy every moment, whether it’s reminding you to hold hands and savor the day or reassuring you to leave the worries and details to me. I believe that when you’re truly present and enjoying yourself, it allows me to capture the most genuine and beautiful moments of your wedding. I’m incredibly proud to have discovered my passion and talent for this work. What sets me apart is my commitment to creating a comfortable and enjoyable experience for my couples, ensuring that their true personalities shine through in the photos.
What does success mean to you?
Defining success can be a bit tricky for me. While I do have a big goal of being fully booked, I find that success is deeply personal and often comes from the smaller, everyday moments. For me, every time I finish a wedding and see the joy and satisfaction on my couples’ faces, I feel a profound sense of accomplishment. It’s not just about meeting a booking target but about capturing beautiful, genuine moments and making sure everything goes smoothly for the couple. Each successful wedding feels like a celebration of not just my hard work but also the happiness and love shared on that day. So, while reaching my booking goal is important, it’s these individual successes and the joy I see in my clients that truly define success for me.
