Rising Stars: Meet Blythe Baten

Today we’d like to introduce you to Blythe Baten.

Hi Blythe, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I learned about cabi clothing ten years ago, when I had two small children and needed to find a flexible career. I had not heard of the company before and I had no background in retail or sales. I was intrigued by the business model – women helping women achieve success alongside one another. I signed up and dipped my toes in. I love the relationships I have made and I love helping women feel good about themselves from the outside in. Working alongside my team, I help other women grow their cabi businesses. Cabi has allowed me financial freedom and personal growth in a way I never thought possible.

Today, I consider myself much more than a fashion stylist. I am a friend, confidant and mood shifter! I outfit women with weight issues, women struggling with health concerns that prohibit them from shopping in public, and women ranging in age from 20-95! I am now in my 10th year as a cabi stylist and I love it more and more each season.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
My cabi business has actually gone pretty smoothly! I have discovered multitudes of women who love this unique way of shopping. Cabi appeals to both women who love to shop and women who hate to shop! I make it easy by bringing the entire collection (about 110 pieces that mostly can all be worn together) to them! We shop in their living room, or they come to my studio in my house and get a personal shopping experience.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specialize in the business of gathering! I am very hands off with the selling aspect because the clothing truly sells itself – it’s beautifully made and is thoughtfully designed to fit and flatter many different body types. I have something to share for most everyone, regardless of age – from petites to plus size. As a cabi stylist, I am known for my inclusivity. My clients can reset assure that when they attend my fashion experience, that they will have a fabulous and fun day with me. We all need some fun and diversion these days and attending a cabi fashion experience (you will just have to attend one to know what that is!) is the perfect way to do so.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
What I have learned from living through a pandemic is that as humans, we all need to be touched, included and loved! Gathering together, particularly for women, is essential to our mental health. I have observed that women really missed one another in seclusion and for the most part, we love being together! COVID robbed us of our vitality and women are eager to return to their normal lives and have some fun.
