Rising Stars: Meet Aria Gold of West Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aria Gold

Hi Aria, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey began in 2015 when I left my small country town in New Hampshire and relocated to New York to begin a new life. I was a French Horn player at the time and set out to eventually play for the NY Philharmonic or a similar orchestra. Although music was and always will be my passion, I found myself wanting to explore other avenues and ways to share my creativity outside of being a musician.

I picked up my first camera at 19 years old and stayed up all night teaching myself the ins and outs of portrait photography. I sought out mentors and worked tirelessly as a PA and scoured Craigslist for gigs for myself. Before I even turned 20, I was invited to shoot my first NYFW show.

The real journey began when I teamed up with award-winning Executive Creative Director, Melo Benveniste, who is also the founding member of Blondehouse Lifestyle Group. Through his mentorship and leadership, my career was taken to new heights.

Throughout my tenure with Blondehouse, I executively produced and show-ran multiple NYFW shows, Art Basel galleries, a plethora of short-films & video productions, NFT NYC, brand activations and multiple unscripted network projects.

I took on the role of CEO and Media Director in late 2021.

After working on an unscripted NYFW television production, I relocated to Los Angeles where I now work intimately with artists under our team’s management as well as television and film development and production.

The journey has been exciting and full of growth, lessons and I have met so many beautiful and unique people along the way.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road to self actualization, personally and through our careers, is never smooth.

Life is a series of challenges designed to make us stronger and wiser. Each challenge is an opportunity to become a better person and to learn.

Embrace the bumpy road.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
As the Chief Executive Officer and Media Director of Blondehouse Lifestyle Group, I leverage my music business degree and my passion for the creative industry to develop and produce films + unscripted & scripted television projects and provide innovative and strategic services to luxury brands, corporate entities and multifaceted talents. I have ten years of experience in artist representation, digital marketing media, production, and creative management, working with diverse and talented clients across genres, mediums and platforms. I am responsible for overseeing the business development, client relations, and project execution of Blondehouse, a production house that specializes in creating and amplifying authentic and engaging brand stories for clients around the world. I collaborate with a team of creative professionals, media partners, and industry stakeholders to deliver high-quality and impactful results that align with the artists’ vision and goals. I am driven by the mission of empowering and supporting artists to thrive in the competitive and dynamic music and film landscapes; I bring a fresh and inclusive perspective to the field, especially coming from the roots of being an artist and musician myself.

I am the most proud of my hands-on work in production across industries. I am also incredibly proud of my team and the development we are working on for five films and two television series. Although these projects haven’t been announced to the public yet, I am so humbled and proud as we put the finishing touches on pre-production and move forward with production. I have a special connection to our project “Other Side of Fame” which is a film based in Cannes about the dichotomy of choosing fame or love, and to “Same, Same but Different” a timepiece series set in 1980s West Hollywood focusing on family, tradition, sexual identity and coming of age.

What sets me apart from others is my ability to empathize and connect emotionally whether it be with my team, the talents we work with or the audiences we reach worldwide. I take a calm and compassionate approach to my work and my life as well. I love to listen. I love to give people the space to share their stories and make their ideas come to life. I love to stop in the middle of a busy day when I see someone sitting quietly, a position I spend more time in more often than not, and stop to make sure their needs are met and see how their day is going regardless of if we have ever met or not. If we all practiced mindful listening with one another more, the world would be a much more peaceful place. Ultimately my goal in the entertainment industry is to tell stories that uplift and connect to storytellers and viewers alike. My goal is to translate this experience into philanthropy and activism as I grow my platform and outreach.

What makes you happy?
I grew up facing a lot of adversity and life often felt like an uphill battle from a young age. From caring to my terminally ill mother to financial struggles, life often felt like a sea of struggles and dark storms that I feared I wouldn’t be able to navigate as an adult. This especially hit me hard when I lost my mother in 2020.

Throughout this, I’ve realized the key to my personal happiness is finding the beauty in small moments.

My happiest moments are the little things: chatting with a random person I meet on the street, exchanging a wave with a stranger, a good laugh with friends.

These little moments have made me a very happy person overall. I’m just super grateful for everything I have and to live in this crazy world.

Also in no particular order: Music. Music in languages I don’t speak. Reading scripts. Taking portraits. Running. Music again (I’m still a musician at heart!). Travel. Exploring new cities by myself. Writing. Reading. Being kind. Remembering my mom. Talking to my aunts and my uncle back home.

Lastly, expressing myself through my makeup every day. A lot of people ask why I do such graphic eyeliner every day, and honestly? It makes me feel like my most confident expressive self and seeing the way my makeup inspires others gives me true joy.
