Rising Stars: Meet Ahmad of SoCal

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ahmad

Hi Ahmad, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always had a passion for motorsports, but I didn’t purchase my first motorcycle until two years ago. I took the Motorcycle Safety Foundation course, got my license, and started to ride around town. I then went on longer rides with friends, met new riders, and it became a weekly ritual to go on a long motorcycle ride, whether it’s up the Angeles Crest Highway or through canyons around L.A. The rides were exciting and fun, and I wanted to capture them in pictures and videos. That’s when I decided to start carrying my Canon DSLR with me when I go riding. I posted my pictures of other rides on my instagram page, which I called BikerLens. In early 2023, I attended my first motorsports event, where I met many incredible riders and made my first attempt to document the experience. One of my videos from that event went viral, reaching over 7 million people. This experience ignited a deeper desire to showcase the world of motorsports.
Within a short period of time, my camera collection grew from a single camera to multiple cameras, several lenses, and drones. Aside from my professional camera, there’s an action camera mounted on my helmet, and 360 action camera mounted on back of motorcycle, which capture unique and fun videos.
Since then, I’ve been dedicated to this hobby. I always have my camera with me, whether I’m riding my motorcycle, driving my car, or attending a bike or car event.
Today, I focus on showcasing motorsports, especially motorcycles. My goal is to help people learn more about the sport and understand the risks involved. I also aim to share best practices for new riders, safety tips, and insights I’ve gained throughout my journey.
For me, it’s about the good vibes and the friendships formed along the way.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Social media is a tricky place. Nowadays everyone is a content creator, and if you lose hope, you could lose it all. Consistency is key to being successful. You don’t need to have millions of followers to achieve success. I’ve had moments where I wanted to stop, but my passion and the people around me kept me going.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I love to ride my motorcycle, and I love to take pictures and videos, and I’m fortunate to be able to combine both in what I do. What sets me apart from others is my deep understanding of photography and videography techniques, and my ability to operate a wide range of cameras, lenses, drones to capture exciting and fun moments. I’ve met many incredible people along the way and I’m proud of all the connections and friends that I was able to make doing the things that I love.

What does success mean to you?
My impact on others and helping others. Many people like to see themselves doing the things they love and me capturing that through my lens is a success for me.
I’ve received hundreds of messages from people thanking me for my work but the one that resonated with me is “Thank you for always making us look good.”
