Reewa (Reevs) Rathod of Beverly Hills on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Reewa (Reevs) Rathod . Check out our conversation below.

Hi Reewa (Reevs), thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first part of my day is devoted to training and rehearsal. I’m not what you’d call a morning person, so it’s usually a bit of a struggle dragging myself out of bed ..but I make it to the gym regardless of how exhausted I feel. That’s non-negotiable. It’s discipline.
Once I’m back, I spend time working on vocals or at the piano, whatever needs attention that day. And that’s the routine, really. Simple. Focused. Essential.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a singer, songwriter, and pianist ..a dreamer at heart and I thrive on pushing my own boundaries and creating music that dares to be different. My work is deeply personal, and I aim to create songs that connect, resonate, and inspire. For me, making music isn’t about chasing trends; it’s about telling the truth and capturing emotion in its purest form.I’ve always believed that the most powerful art comes from a place of honesty, and I strive every day to honour that belief while pushing myself to evolve. Right now, I’m working on a track called Joy, which I’m genuinely excited to release soon. I’m truly energised by the direction things are heading. Through it all, I remain grounded in the belief that humility, passion, and authenticity are what carry you forward. That’s my compass, both in music and in life.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My earliest memory of feeling truly powerful was when I composed my very first song. I must have been quite young at the time, but the experience left a profound and lasting impression on me. There was something utterly transformative about sitting down, entirely on my own, and creating something that hadn’t existed before. Something born purely of imagination, emotion, and intuition.
The process itself felt almost magical. To take a handful of scattered thoughts and raw feelings and shape them into melody and lyrics was, for me, nothing short of alchemy. It was as though I’d unlocked a hidden doorway into a world where I had the power not only to express myself, but also to give shape and voice to something invisible. That moment filled me with a sense of exhilaration .. I daresay I felt super duper powerful, in the most childlike yet sincere way.
Looking back, I believe that was the moment I first understood the quiet might of creativity, the power to move, to connect, and to shape one’s inner world into something others could hear, feel, and understand.

Do you remember a time someone truly listened to you?
Honestly, I don’t think anyone has ever truly listened to me the way I really needed. People hear words, sure, but really listening with patience, understanding, and without judgment …:that feels rare.
Over time, I found that I talk to myself a lot. Sometimes out loud, sometimes just in my head. But more than that, I speak to my piano. My instrument listens in a way no one else seems to. It doesn’t interrupt or judge. It holds space for my emotions and thoughts, whether they’re loud or barely there.
When I play, it’s like the piano understands what I’m feeling deep down..even when I can’t put it into words. It’s a silent companion that hears the music in my heart and lets me express what’s hard to say.
So while I can’t say someone else has truly listened to me, my piano always does and that kind of listening has been a kind of salvation.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would likely say that what truly matters to me is the gift of time….
time shared with the people I care about most. Time is an irreplaceable resource; once it’s gone, it can never be reclaimed.
When someone chooses to offer me their time and presence, it speaks volumes. It’s a profound expression of value and connection that no material possession can match.
Alongside that, it means a great deal to me when people honestly appreciate my music and recognize the hard work I pour into it. That genuine acknowledgment feels like a deep kind of listening and respect, which makes all the effort worthwhile.
Ultimately, what I cherish above all is those moments of genuine togetherness and sincere appreciation because in the finite nature of time, that presence and understanding is everything.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
When I’m gone, I hope the story they tell is carried in the melodies I leave behind—my music living on like a timeless whisper.
I want my songs to linger in the hearts of those who hear them, to become a part of their memories, their quiet moments, and their joys and sorrows.
If my voice can echo in the spaces where words sometimes fail, if it can comfort, inspire, or simply be there when no one else is, then I’ll have left something true and lasting.
More than anything, I want to be remembered not just as a person, but as a feeling… a melody that never fades.
