Meet Zoya Yeghikyan of Aesthetic By Zoya , Sirooni Professional

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zoya Yeghikyan.

Hi Zoya, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started doing nails in 2018 with absolutely no plan of becoming who I am today. I was practicing at home, teaching myself day and night, simply because I loved it. But very quickly I realized something — when I do nails, I’m in my element. I’m focused, I’m creative, and I feel a kind of discipline and passion that pushed me to go further.

Instead of staying “self-taught,” I decided to take it seriously. I studied nonstop — international nail schools, deep trainings with dermatologists and podologists — because I wanted to understand this profession on the highest level. Not just how to make something look pretty, but how to do it right, safely, professionally, and with respect for every client who sits in front of me.

Then came the biggest turning point: moving to the United States in 2022. I arrived with zero clients, zero familiarity, nothing but my skills and my confidence. Starting from scratch in a new country is not easy, but I’ve never been afraid of hard work. I built everything slowly, consistently, with discipline — one client at a time.

Eventually, I opened my first salon, Aesthetic by Zoya. Then a second location. Then my own nail brand, Sirooni. None of this happened overnight — it was years of working early mornings, late nights, learning, improving, and refusing to settle for average.

Today, I’m not only a nail artist. I’m a business owner, a trainer, and someone who has taught, guided, and mentored many students who trusted me with their growth. My work is built on quality, honesty, and the constant desire to be better than I was yesterday.

People often ask how I “manage everything.” The truth is simple: I never waited for the perfect moment. I built my own opportunities. I took risks. I worked harder than my circumstances. And every step — even the difficult ones — brought me to where I am now.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Nothing about my journey was “easy,” and honestly, I’m grateful for that. Every challenge pushed me to level up, both as a professional and as a person.

One of the biggest struggles was starting over in a new country. When I moved to the U.S., I had no clients, no connections, and no reputation. I was in a place where no one knew my work, and I had to build trust from zero. That process takes patience, discipline, and a lot of faith in yourself — especially when you’re working long hours and you don’t see results right away.

Another challenge was balancing growth with quality. As my client base began to grow, the pressure grew as well. I refused to rush my work or lower my standards just to take more clients. Maintaining perfect hygiene, technique, consistency — these things matter to me, and protecting my reputation required constant effort.

There were also moments of doubt, like every entrepreneur faces. Times when I questioned if I made the right choices, if I could handle everything — teaching, running a salon, building a brand, managing a team. But each time, I reminded myself why I started and what kind of example I want to set for my children and my students.

The truth is, smooth roads don’t create strong people. The struggles — starting from zero, rebuilding my life in a new country, working 12–14 hour days, managing all responsibilities — those are the things that shaped me. They taught me resilience, patience, and the value of doing everything with integrity.

And even today, with two salon locations and my own brand, there are still challenges. Growth never stops. But neither do I.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Aesthetic by Zoya is more than just a nail salon — it’s a place built on discipline, quality, and a deep respect for proper technique and hygiene. Our specialty is Russian manicure, precision nail prep, Gel-X extensions, pedicures, and long-lasting, healthy nail care performed on a truly professional level. We don’t just “do nails” — we restore, protect, and elevate them.

What sets us apart is our standards.
We follow medical-level hygiene: full disinfection, sterilization, craft pouches with indicators, single-use files, and proper tools for every step. Every service is done with patience, accuracy, and consistency. My team knows that good work is not about speed — it’s about responsibility. Our clients trust us not only because their nails look beautiful, but because they feel safe.

Another thing that makes us unique is education. I’m a trainer, and I’ve taught many students who now work professionally. Education shapes everything in our salon — from technique to customer service. My goal has always been to raise the standards of our industry and to show clients what truly high-quality work feels like.

I’m also proud of my own brand, Sirooni. I created it because I wanted materials that I could trust with my clients’ nails — high-quality gels, bases, and tops that are safe, durable, self-leveling, and beautiful. Sirooni represents everything I believe in: honesty, quality, and clean professional work.

Today we have two studio locations in Glendale and Van Nuys. Both spaces are designed to reflect our philosophy — calm, aesthetic, clean, and welcoming. Clients often say they come not only for their nails but also for the atmosphere, the conversations, and the comfort they feel with us.

What I want readers to know is simple:
Aesthetic by Zoya is a place where every detail matters.
Your safety matters.
Your experience matters.
Your results matter.

We work with heart, precision, and respect for our craft. And whether you’re coming for a manicure, taking a training, or trying Sirooni products — you will feel the difference immediately.

What are your plans for the future?
In the future, my focus is on expanding both Aesthetic by Zoya and my professional brand, Sirooni. I’m working on developing new high-quality products, strengthening my education programs, and eventually creating a full academy for professionals.

I also want to improve the culture of our industry — especially when it comes to hygiene, disinfection, and overall aesthetics. Proper sterilization and professional technique should be the standard everywhere, and I’m committed to pushing that forward.

I’m excited to grow my team, open more locations, and continue creating spaces where clients feel safe, cared for, and inspired. Big changes are coming, and I’m ready for them.
