Meet Zoe Hylton of Z Graphics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zoe Hylton.

Zoe, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Growing up, I was always interested in electronics hence the reason I pursued a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology. While in undergrad pursuing Information Technology, I became interested in graphic design after I took an introduction to graphics course. I created a logo for my friend who started a clothing company. From that day, I knew that branding was my passion. From logos and flyers to banners and websites, my vision is to give every brand their own unique and beautiful style while emphasizing high quality and client satisfaction. Being able to bring visions to life is an amazing feeling.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road like how it is now. In the beginning, I found that the support was lacking from my family and friends so I often had to motivate myself and build my clientele on my own. In addition, I found that I compromised a lot of my business requirements in order to please my customers and I often didn’t take care of myself. In the end, everything I went through was a learning experience and it has lead me to where I am now so I am grateful for the rocky roads.

Z Graphics – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My business name is Z Graphics. We specialize in custom branding and graphic design. The thing I am most proud of, outside of my work, is seeing how happy my customers are with their branding. In the age of social media, branding is so important to a brand and I love being able to speak with my customers and bring their visions to life.

What sets me apart from other graphic designers is my audience. I cater mostly to smaller micro-businesses that often get lost in the big world of Instagram.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moment of my career so far has been watching my progress. Although I got my start in school, a lot of what I learned has been from YouTube University, so being able to look back and see how much better I’ve gotten makes me so proud.
