Meet Yvette Louis of Soul Enlightenment Intuitive Coaching & Reiki in Pasadena

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yvette Louis.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story?
I’ve been in the legal field for more than 20 years. While I like the law, I knew that I had more to offer. I really have the gift of helping others succeed and believe in themselves. I feel that this is one of my life’s purposes. One evening, I meditated on what I wanted. I felt this need to do more with myself and in the middle of the night, I got up and created a website with the title of my soon-to-be business. I also created a yelp business account and even went as far as ordering business cards! I had absolutely no clients but what I did have was a dream. A dream I intended to act on. I believe in the power of manifestation and I knew that if I just did it without thinking of the how or why, everything would just flow, and boy did it do exactly that! Even though I’ve always been the person everyone came to for advice, etc. and was a natural intuitive with helping others solve their issues and giving them ideas on how to move forward, I enrolled in Life and Recovery/Addiction Coaching with the Net Institute for certification. I also studied and was attuned to Reiki I and Reiki II in order to further my coaching techniques, such as Shadow Work and Past Trauma Healing.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has been amazingly smooth for me, with the exception of locating the perfect space to hold coaching sessions in person in the very beginning. Eventually, it worked itself out pretty fast and I’m pretty happy where I am now.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
My business Soul Enlightenment Intuitive Coaching & Reiki specializes in several types of coaching & healing methods. Intuitive Life coaching is geared towards individuals who need inspiration with accomplishing their goals while being held accountable, strengthening of integrity and time management skills, developing mindfulness with meditation and mantras, while uncovering blocks and recognizing fear-based emotions while letting go of what no longer serves them.

-Recovery Coaching is geared towards people who need personalized solution focused support in their recovery journey, families or individuals who need personalized solution focused support in dealing with a loved one’s addictive behavior, and people who desire a clearer picture of where they are now in order to move forward and take the next step in a positive direction after rehabilitation.

-Shadow Work/Suppressed Self-Coaching is a method I use with clients to explore their inner landscape and discover the gold that is hiding within. It’s a way to face hurt, fear, and anger, etc. from younger childhood years and learn how to live more fully in the present while releasing fear based emotions, projections, and even resentments. A person’s shadow consists of finding the resistant behavior that is present within by exploring thoughts, core beliefs, and what is being projected onto others such as distasteful feelings, disgust, and feelings of resentment and anger. I take my clients through several exercises which involve rooting out core beliefs and finding their core statements then healing their inner child with love, reinforcement, and affirmation. I’m quite known for this and I really enjoy seeing a person’s eyes light up when they have an “A-hah!” moment.

-Reiki is used in conjunction with my Shadow/Work Suppressed Self Coaching. This includes past trauma healing and habit treatment (good for those with addictions). I create a relaxing atmosphere and always send my clients home with goodies so their relaxation can continue to flow after treatment.

-Communication & Motivation Coaching consists of helping an individual find their outer voices and listening to their inner voices. Standing in their power and speaking their truth while coming from a place of authenticity and honoring their feelings. All of this is done while cultivating self-love and self-esteem.

What sets me apart? I am not a cookie cutter coach. I do not set programs, 1, 2, 3’s or steps to a person’s development. I intuitively design my coaching methods tailored to each individual because what works wells for one person, may not work well for another. I also respect and honor all religious beliefs and individual backgrounds and I come from a place where judgment is not an option. That’s one of the many things that sets me apart. I listen, I feel, and most of all, I am available!

What were you like growing up?
I was feisty as a child. I always had my hand on my hip and had something to say and yes, I got in trouble for it as a little girl! I loved to express myself through singing, dancing, and writing in my diary. I was always interested in people! The how’s and why’s of things. I always looked for the deeper meaning of things.
