Today we’d like to introduce you to Yves Bright.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Yves. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started off as a Professional Surfer. That quickly presented an opportunity to model for my clothing sponsors, which then parlayed into more modeling jobs and eventually into acting. I have since continued to surf on a professional level while acting in TV and Film. I have been a professional actor for the last 15 years. I am now an ambassador to many companies in the surfing world. I have Guest Starred on many Network TV shows and have also starred in my own films.
Several years ago, I was shooting a film in Puerto Rico for almost a month. I had quite a bit of downtime. The beautiful scenery combined with my passion for creativity awoke my love for photography. Very organically, over the last few years, my passion grew stronger and my desire to learn more drove me to where I am today. I now photograph everything from Landscapes to Portraits. I love telling stories through my photography.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I never set financial goals for my photography, acting or surfing. These are all passions of mine, so the only struggles were more about the process. The moments where I felt less inspired. The moments which felt forced.
Please tell us about Yves Bright.
I am a very passionate person. I put in 110% to everything I do. I don’t know how to be anything less.
Surfing – I am an ambassador to Katin USA (clothing), Hyperflex Wetsuits, Aulta Watches, Sympl, Scosche, Anderson Surfboards and Amavara Skin Care. I surf every morning. Up at 5 am every day!
Acting – Film, TV, and commercials. Leading man, Guest Star, Series regulars.
Photography – I want to photograph anything and everything which inspire me. I love editorial photography the most. I want every picture I take to tell a story.
The world inspires me. I want to inspire it back.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I was born in Lebanon, in the midst of a war. We moved to Los Angeles when I was 4 years old. We lived in a 1 bedroom apartment which is now the Mondrian on Sunset Blvd.
My brothers and I shared a couch bed. The moments spent in that tiny little apartment were golden. The walks to school and back on Sunset Blvd were always entertaining. I am not sure if they were my most favorite childhood memories but they are definitely noteworthy.
