Yera, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I am a registered pharmacist and was working for a big corporate as a staff pharmacist for more than 17 years.
I had come across so many issues that the local community faces while working under the corporate that could not be resolved as corporate employee. I decided to come out of the comfort zone and start my own business to serve my community better. I started this business from scratch by building the required infrastructure in March of 2016. Today, we are very well recognized by the local community.
We provide the fast, friendly and excellent customer service covering different services of the retail pharmacy, including but not limited to full range of immunization, DME supply, unit dose packaging, Medication Therapy Management and many more. We are recognized as the best pricing pharmacy in town for the cash paying patients. We provide absolutely free delivery of the medicines for the customers who are not able to drive or are dependent on the caregivers. Our success and repeat customer base speaks about the exceptional service of our staff. Happy to be my own boss!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Starting a new business and surviving in the most competitive market is definitely not a smooth ride. For retail Pharmacy business, we need to have multiple insurance contracts and some of the insurance companies are owned by the big chain pharmacy corporates. These insurances limit the network to their pharmacies only and that pulls the business from the independent pharmacy.
There are so many new regulations concerning compounding, very little or sometime under the cost reimbursement of the prescription claims by the insurances make it almost impossible for the independent pharmacy to operate with decent profit margin. The pharmacy owner has to come up with the new product range or niche market of some sort.

We are a full-service retail pharmacy specialized in very fast, friendly and efficient service. We fill all kind of prescriptions including some specialty drugs. We do work with the doctors and insurances to get the prior authorization of the medications which are not covered under the plan otherwise. We do TAR (treatment authorization reviews) for the medical prescriptions.
We do analyze each patient profile for the allergies, drug interactions, duplicate therapies, ADRs. WE provide absolutely free delivery of the prescriptions and other surgical supplies. WE make unit dose packaging for the non-compliant patients making caregivers life easier. In addition to all these, what makes us apart from our competitors are our always smiling faces and always ready to accept the challenges!
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We are continually growing since we opened the door the first time. We will continually provide the best professional service that we are known for. We are in process of acquiring and opening new locations in different part of southern California.
