Today we’d like to introduce you to Rosi Greenberg.
Rosi, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My love of photography began at an early age. My father and brother were very much film buffs so it was in my DNA, to say the least. I spent a lot of my spare time in the darkroom as a youth, often ditching class to develop my images. To pursue my passion for photography, I attended the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, graduating in the summer of 2011. It was there that I learned photography is not only an art but a skill and a business. Upon graduating, I worked under a skilled fashion photographer for about a year and learned what to do and what not do as far as the business of photography goes. I then branched out and started my own photography business, and now photograph a wide spectrum of subjects and businesses, but my real passion is for fantasy, fashion and set creations. One of my favorite clients I’ve had is working for an escape room where they create elaborate sets. It is my goal to create and photograph things one would not see otherwise.
Has it been a smooth road?
My education was a fairly smooth road. I was surrounded by my supportive parents, professors, and mentors, but I don’t think anyone can prepare you for starting any kind of business on your own. I’ve learned the hard way about contract law and release forms. As far as my creativity and passion, that has always come easily to me. Some people’s passion for photography gets beaten out during the heavy course workload at Brooks, but I found it exhilarating. If you can get through Brooks you can get through life.
As far as my personal road, that was not always easy but I found that the loss of my brother at an early age encouraged me to do the things he could not. He was a film director, and I am sure that is what partially motivated me towards photography. I’ve been very fortunate, though, my career and client list has continued to steadily grow, I am one of the lucky ones.
What role has luck had in your life and career?
I’ve always found myself to be a lucky person, I’ve been in the right place at the right time. But luck is just preparation meeting opportunity, and I’ve done a lot of preparing. I’ve been lucky enough to work with great people and learn from extraordinary teachers and mentors who have prepared me for life and business.
Do you feel like there are certain traits that increase the likelihood of success?
I am often told that it is a pleasure to work with me due to my calm demeanor and clear direction. I try to keep a respectful tone with my models and employees and always communicate well and consistently with my clients.
Tell us about your favorite and least favorites things about our city.
I love the diversity that is in Los Angeles. There are so many designer, fashionista, business people, and fellow artists to meet and connect with. It is truly the land of opportunity, but there is a lot of competition here as well because we attract the very best of everything. You really have to stand out not only in talent but also in ethics and professionalism.

Nice article, good to hear from young professionals that they believe that ethics and professional courtesy will distinguish them in business. Obviously a very talented photographer as well.
