Today we’d like to introduce you to William The Baddest.
William, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Where I started, okayyy… yasss. Soooo I grew up in a small town outside of New Orleans called Bogalusa, Louisiana, a place you don’t wanna visit. Drug overdoses and poverty. I lived there with my father until I was 13 (right after hurricane Katrina). I didn’t have much growing up but I did not know what it was like to have nicer things so I was ok with it. My father got on crack really bad when I was 11 and then ended up overdosing multiple times. My mom was a young mom who was never there for me at all she disappeared when I was ten and I never saw her again, my father got so bad off on drugs that he sold me to a drug dealer in exchange when I was 13 and then I was brought to Dallas Texas and was raised in that environment until I ran away at 16, went to school and then got adjusted to the world, my family never reached out to me or wonder where I was, most of my family where in poverty and uneducated and didn’t care for me because they knew I was gay, So going through this made me wanna prosper and with all the pain I consumed, I used music and writing and watching tv dreaming that one-day ill move to Hollywood and be someone.
So I did, I graduated in Dallas, then auditioned for a singing show called the X factor, I was not the best singer but I did not have an agent or experience but I made the call back to be on the live show and be judged by Britney Spears, Simon Cowell, Demi and LA Reid, even though Britney eliminated me told me I need a teacher to teach me how to sing, I told myself I’m gonna move too hollywood and still make it, so I did just that. got on a greyhound one way bus ticket with 300 dollars and a suitcase of clothes, moved to LA got three jobs and hustled, started getting recognition from Amber Rose and became fond of her and then Sidney Starr became my best friend then we where just always in the spot light, I then applied for a show on mtv called catfish and they called me and I did the show, became famous from it then did it for another season while at the same time pursuing my rap career I auditioned for the hit zeus show Bad Boys Los Angeles, at that moment it was a dark cloud mentally but it helped launch my career and drove me to a higher spectrum of this chess game we are all playing. Currently filming and finishing up more music video features and reality tv shows including a YouTube series I just finished called Chasing La Season 2 on YouTube. I just wanna make it on the charts, Grammys, Vmas and much much more #boltgang #BigBolt.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road was never smooth playing this game. I’m white /gay/ in hip hop…
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a Rapper/ Reality Tv Star. I’m the only one in my lane. The pioneer. No one looks like me, sounds like me or made it work being openly gay in hip hop in the beginning as a white guy doing this.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Nicki Minaj, Moment For Life is what helps me get through a day over. I’m The Best on repeat. The Neighborhood Talk is a popular blog that has really helped shape my career and supported me when others did not! Shout out to the young millionaire owner Kyle Anfernee for always supporting me. Also Armon Wiggins! He always supports me and my music and my narrative. Thankful! Definitely see those two bosses in the future taking over!
