Today we’d like to introduce you to Will Leung.
Will, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have always been mesmerized by the idea of freezing time. Life passes by so quickly, and having the ability to suspend life’s precious moments is the most powerful tool we have to tell our story. It is with this understanding that led me to the path of photography.
Before my journey as a full-time photographer, I was only photographing as a hobby. I had a comfortable corporate job where I could have spent the rest of my career. I remember staring out of my office window everyday thinking about life beyond the numbers. I craved creativity. I wanted more out of life. I wanted to be a part of something bigger – bigger than any monetary goals, and bigger than chasing corporate records.
As my work evolved, people started to take notice. It was then I took a faithful leap and started Dream Creation Studios. From a creative standpoint, it was everything I needed. From an overall perspective, it was everything I was searching for. Documenting weddings has been one of the most rewarding things I have ever done in my life. Being entrusted with photographing the most important day in your clients lives, and witnessing the magic that takes place is just an incredible feeling. The friendships that I have developed with my clients throughout the years is beyond words.
Dream Creation Studios was built on the foundation of a client first, business second approach. I trusted that as long as we had the best interest of our clients in mind, the rest will fall into place. As it turns out, I was right.
Has it been a smooth road?
When we started, we came out with a bang which was not what I had expected at all. We were very busy the first few years. Overall, there were some dips here and there but nothing significant.
The biggest struggle I had was putting together a team that understood my vision. I was looking for people who genuinely loved the craft of photography, and responsible enough to be trusted upon capturing a client’s wedding. It took some time but we now have a core group that I am very proud of.

Dream Creation Studios specializes in editorial style wedding portraiture. I am one of the lead photographers as well as the master editor for the company. I have spent over a decade perfecting the craft of photography, and our clients have come to expect the attention to detail that we produce in our images. As part of our dedication to perfecting our work, we have a limited acceptance of weddings per year to ensure the utmost quality of our product. From the very beginning, I have emphasized that the integrity and quality of our work supersedes everything else because I care about what I do, and we have stood by that till this very day. That is what I am most proud of.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Photography is a very saturated industry that can be difficult to start anywhere. With that said, there is almost 4 million people in Los Angeles so there will always be an opportunity somewhere. All you need is patience.
