Meet Wendy Ramos of Just Wenderful Event Planning & Design in Downtown LA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Wendy Ramos.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Wendy. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
While attending UCLA, I was involved in planning events and large festivals on campus. Although my educational background is in psychology and Spanish literature, I’ve always had an urge to lead in creating, planning, and designing events. My real passion lied in a much more creative career and thus pursued planning part-time through word of mouth referrals in 2008. After a couple of events, I decided to make her part time affair, a full time relationship and Just Wenderful emerged!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road! I think one of my biggest obstacles is balancing time and delegating work. As a small business owner, you’re supposed to be your own accountant, social media manager, etc. It can get a little overwhelming. I’m still working on all of this as I type this!

Just Wenderful Event Planning & Design – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
By carefully listening to our clients’ love stories, ideal visions and intertwining cultures and faiths, we creatively capture their energy to a most picture perfect day. Whether it be an intimate event at the San Ysidiro Ranch or an extravagant affair at the Beverly Wilshire, every event is carefully crafted to be a one of a kind experience for the hosts as well as the guests. Never the same, but always unique and personal!

We work weddings, social and corporate events but destination weddings are definitely our jam!

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success for me is when we’ve finished our events and we’ve managed to put out ALL fires without the client ever knowing something went wrong. A smooth event with absolutely no bumps is great, don’t get me wrong but sometimes, things are just out of our control.

In the long run, success also means having clients that have been referred by past clients and of course, meeting your financial goals. Can’t forget that!
