Meet Wayne Ayers of WhereistheBuzz in Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Wayne Ayers.

Wayne, can you briefly walk us through your story ? how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Where Is The Buzz (WTB) is a news platform for young millennials to express themselves and get fast, reliable and relevant information. The outlet is growing rapidly with over 100,000 followers combined on our social media platforms. WTB has been featured in various prestigious publications including The Huffington Post, Ebony Magazine and Black Enterprise. It was the official news critic for STX?s, The Upside, and recognized by Kevin Hart. This year alone we had viral interviews with Sandra Bullock and Angela Basset.

As you know, more Millennials are becoming entrepreneurs. I?m a prime example of that. Being homeless and getting decline for jobs such as Best Buy, Target, and Wal-Mart lead to me being a Media Mogul. I come from a small town in Washington State called Bremerton. After graduating from high school, Wayne moved to Los Angeles to find new opportunities in life. I attended East Los Angeles College to study business. During weekends I would help his sister work red carpets as a videographer. Every carpet I worked on I made new connections in the industry.

After college, I worked at Broadway Federal Bank as a bank teller. I started a website called WhereistheBuzz. I hated the bank teller job so much I quit after six months. I applied to many jobs in the entertainment industry and went on many interviews I got declined. So I decided if nobody wanted me I?ll just start my own thing. So I turned my website and Instagram page into a business.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I was an outsider. I went from a small city to one of the biggest cities in America. I had no friends or connections. The only person in LA I could rely on is my sister Kiki Ayers. The challenges of starting WhereistheBuzz was gaining a respectable audience, and we achieved that in a few months of launching, which allows us to be successful as of this day. Without people, there is no WhereistheBuzz. So we are thankful for that.

Alright ? so let?s talk business. Tell us about WhereistheBuzz ? what should we know?
We are proud that we can connect with people every day it?s like we created a family on the internet. We just agree to disagree on social media all day. It?s like being in the barbershop or like family sitcom like Fresh Prince.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story ? who has played a meaningful role?
My sisters Kiki and Selena Ayers they always volunteering ideas and directions we should go in. My mom Andrea Ayers is because she gave birth to me so without, WhereistheBuzz isn?t possible. Briana Forte and Mahogany Waldon they have been so helpful and supported before WhereistheBuzz became a big deal.
