Today we’d like to introduce you to Wali Rahman.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I was born on December 28th in Santa Ana, CA. I moved to Perris, CA around the age of 5. As I graduated high school, I really wanted to get into Film. I went to RCC (Riverside Community College) for a year and thought to myself I can apply my talents way more if I did not go to school. At the time, I was working a normal 9-5 and knew I had a lot of potentials to reach eyes all over the world with my art. I told my parents I wanted to drop out of college and commit to my videography career for half a year to see what I can do. If it didn’t work (Which I KNEW 100% it would) I would commit back to school. I always thought to myself I had a vision for cinema, so I decided to pick up a camera and bring my visions to life. I officially started my Videography journey two years ago which was by far the BEST DECISION I HAVE MADE.
Growing up, I loved video games, so I thought to myself how I can get this process going. I started my videography career as an Esports Creative Director for Professional Gaming teams that brought in 100,000+ eyes all around social media platforms. I created plenty of great connections throughout the country traveling state to state doing what I loved! It’s super awesome. One year into my journey, I got the chance to build connections with professional gamers, rappers, and athletes. This made me realize not only should I shoot videos, but it would be awesome to capture photos as well! This opened my range for content to levels most wouldn’t think they can reach! I got the opportunity to shoot professional rappers like Christian Combs, Blueface, The Game, OT Genasis and Mozzy. I even got the chance to do a 15-minute photoshoot with Odell Beckham…which was a highlight of this whole journey!
Outside of my wild journey capturing awesome content, I also created the greatest business with my best friend Christian Pace. He is the BEST Real Estate agent in the world! We as a collective are currently building the best Brokerage/Agency/Media Team in the world. We’re here to represent the best entertainers and athletes worldwide. We are two years into the process and have gotten the chance to list multiple million-dollar houses all around the Orange County area. We’re here to inspire everyone and teach people how important investing is. Making sacrifices to accomplish your dreams is one thing, making sure you’re on top of making smart decisions is another! Christian has been a huge part of my story and life. He has taught me plenty of life lessons and showed me a lot when it comes to the business realm. We will be the best businessmen in the game…just watch!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. It took a lot of dedication and motivation to consistently create content. Throughout the process, it was really fun so it did not bother me much. I knew it would be a hard process to create a business and start from the bottom. I started with beginner cameras and just worked my way up to owning some of the nicest film cameras. Having my business partner Christian Pace, brothers Onie Rahman & Shafin Rahman and my parents were the biggest help to it all. They made me stay consistent, pushed me and helped me tremendously throughout the whole journey. Me and Christian always figured out a solution to every problem we ran into and that is how I knew what we are creating will be world-changing. The thing is…once you find someone who thinks alike and goes as hard as you, it’s game over. Two creative minds collaborating together building an empire that is unstoppable. All I can say is to never give up and quit. The plan may not work in the first two years, but that third year can be the golden year. And that is always the mentality we ran with. Longevity wins the battle!
Alright – so let’s talk business. What else should we know about you and your career so far?
I am a videographer and photographer. I am known to shoot rappers, entertainers, athletes and more! I am super proud of the connections I’ve made in such a small period of time. I believe my vision behind the lens is super special and I honestly think people see it too. My vibe is very chill and it allows people to relax when I am taking photos/videos of them. It’s all love when it comes to me! I love awesome people who think big! Go big or go home!
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
An essential quality to have in this game is always being real with yourself! If you are real with yourself, you will attract people who are real with you too. Having great connections is the way to be successful and creating genuine relationships is how you obtain opportunities. You can do great and honest work, but without the right connections, your work can only be seen by so many people. You must provide the best quality your body can create!
