Meet Wade the Giant

Today we’d like to introduce you to Wade the Giant.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Southern California provided a backyard like no other and growing up here exposed me to different subcultures and art was one of them. There was so much of it growing up in of LA, and I knew I belonged, I just didn’t know what discipline. So I just did them all.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Living on a sailboat was pretty challenging because of the small space and lack of work area, but you do what you need to. I was using people’s driveways and garages, or I’d sit in coffee shops for eight hours for a while, and it worked great. Sometimes we think we need these massive studios with all the best equipment to be successful when in reality, we don’t.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Wade the Giant story. Tell us more about the business.
I’m an artist. I believe in being a well-rounded artist, and I don’t do just one thing.

Photography, videography, painting, graphic design, sculpting, carpentry, illustration, event backdrops, signage- you name it. I’m most proud that I can offer all of these artistic services and I think it sets me apart from most stand-alone artists.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
It’s everything. Luck is everything.
