Meet Vincent Lopez of Lopez Capital Associates (LCA) in West Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Vincent Lopez.

Vincent, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’m Mexican-American and the oldest of three kids (one brother & one sister), raised by a hard-working single mother in Arlington, Virginia. I was born in Sacramento, CA, and where I lived until early 2002. Since I was a 6th grader, I’ve maintained an excel spreadsheet of goals, and owning a company was one of them. After college, I returned to the Washington, DC area, where I worked for the federal government and notable government contractor.

In 2018, I founded Lopez Capital Associates, LLC (LCA). We began consulting corporations on government contracts, contract regulation/management, and proposal writing. I’ve managed multi-million-dollar contract portfolios for small and large firms. I always get asked, “how do you start a business and maintain it?” See, life isn’t about what you know, but who you know. Relationships are the key to success in business, talk to people, be real, and be open to new ideas. About 95% of my day is spent developing and nurturing relationships.

Today, LCA is invested in several industries including federal government contracts, global affairs/contracts, healthcare, media, and entertainment. Check out our record label LCA Sound Studios and LCA Motion Pictures.

I’m always focused on driving a positive influence in my community, challenging the status quo, and empowering opportunities. In continuing that movement, I founded the Lopez Foundation, Inc. a 501c3, which works with at-risk youth in the Washington, DC region. We’re actively expanding our efforts to Los Angeles with the help of many phenomenal nonprofit organizations in LA.

Has it been a smooth road?
If I said it was always a smooth ride that would be a lie, every business comes with obstacles and challenges, but at LCA we focus heavily on risk management- always being proactive rather than reactive. Our biggest challenges have been the numerous government shutdowns, and now COVID-19 pandemic. We’re confident that we will come out strong on the other side.

Please tell us about your business.
I believe what sets us apart is the simple way we do business, but that we’re always ready to tackle the “impossible.” We believe in providing exceptional customer service, and superior deliverables for an affordable price.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love LA it’s a beautiful and diverse city. Also, LA has a great restaurant scene, and if you’re a foodie like me- you understand. I think what sets it apart from our other office locations in the fabulous weather. I mean who doesn’t love sunshine and 70-degree weather? I don’t think I have any dislikes, besides the traffic, but that’s a problem in Washington, DC too.
