Today we’d like to introduce you to Vili Hickey.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I was born and raised in Austria. As long as I can remember, I loved to move and I was described as an extremely active child. At age 12, I became a professional dancer and model and was featured in numerous movies and commercials across Europe.
I then became a professional musical theatre actress and was given the privilege to perform in many famous Theaters all over Austria. I truly loved the stage and all that came with it, but I wanted more. So I decided to move to NYC to study acting at the William Esper Studio. Those two years were literally life-changing. My first acting partner there is now my husband.
My true passion has always been to help others. My journey in fitness began when I started training a friend after a bad break up. Being able to help her both physically with the training, but also with her mental state was incredible. I knew I wanted to help more people and that fitness was a process that could actually change lives and that a type of training called EMS Training was absolutely transformational. It’s a European type of training that is only now gaining more popularity worldwide. I am currently one of the Top EMS ( Electrical Muscle Stimulation) Trainers in USA. I love combining fitness and technology whichis exactly what EMS does. Having the ability to activate all of my client’s major muscle groups, regardless of their fitness level, makes goals much more attainable. Plus the full-body workouts with EMS technology are only 20 minutes! This allows busy professionals and everyone who uses time as an excuse a real solution. All my knowledge of movement and how to build and tone the body flows into my personalized EMS workouts.
While EMS is a new trend in the US it is massive in Europe and Asia. It originated from physiotherapy and was adapted to resistance strength training initially for astronauts to use while in space. This high-intense whole-body workout uses low-frequency electrical impulses to stimulate those muscles that are often ignored by conventional training methods. While training with electrical impulses, the orthopedic load is low and the workout is very joint-friendly. EMS effectively addresses the large, fast muscle fibers that are difficult to reach with other types of training. It’s very safe for almost everyone, especially catering to elder people and post-pregnancy. EMS is not recommended for women who are pregnant, people who have metal in their chest, have pacemakers or suffer from seizures.
I am a very proud mom and have a daughter – Charlotte. Since moving to LA, I have been featured in numerous outlets globally and on TV. My motivation is to show her what a strong woman looks like and that you can do anything if you work hard and are enthusiastic about your dreams.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I wouldn’t say it was a smooth ride, but every little bump leads me to where I am today. I wouldn’t change any curveball or challenge I’ve had to overcome. You need to be brave and courageous to move to a different continent. I didn’t know anyone in NYC in the beginning. One of the moments I like to look back at was moving a queen size mattress in a public bus to Harlem. It might sound strange, but this unique moment made me believe I can do anything with my own power.
I saw what EMS Training has done for so many of my clients and to my own body. Now it is picking up speed and will be nationwide in the near future.

I am an Entrepreneur and Celebrity Trainer who specializes in EMS Workouts.
I am most proud of how many people I have had a positive impact on. 89% of people tested after using EMS training reduced their back pain, and over 38% of those tested reported their recurring back problems had disappeared. That’s a very high number, but if you see your client walking without pain or completely changing their body shape that’s the biggest reward you can get.
Only 20 minutes of EMS training per week is sufficient to improve health and strength and it’s comparable to a 3 1/2 h conventional workout.
EMS training is also very gentle on joints but still provides high-quality strength training. It is proven to help people achieve various training goals, be it dealing with ailments and injuries, athletic performance or just improving overall fitness and well-being.
