Meet Veronica Rodriguez of VRod Experiential in South Bay

Today we’d like to introduce you to Veronica Rodriguez.

The backbone of VRod Experiential is Veronica Rodriguez, a marketing mastermind that has taken quite the marketing journey. Her skills have lead her to create and produce memorable marketing experiences and campaigns for top Fortune500 companies.

She furthered her expertise working at Snapchat, the 3rd largest social media platform in the world. While at Snap, her team produced one of the decades most buzz-worthy marketing campaigns and launched Snap’s first hardware product Spectacles.

Most recently, Veronica has been working on a passion project called Daddy’s Girl. It’s all about “good grief!” The mission of the Daddy’s Girl Series is to be a channel where females share their unique stories about growing up as a Daddy’s Girl and losing their hero too early in life. Sharing the legacy of their dad, life lessons, and laughs in a good grieving kind of way!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
What’s crazy is starting my own marketing company has been one of the toughest challenges to date, you go from an 8 – 5 pm job where you consistently get paid every two weeks, to booking meetings and pitching marketing campaigns almost daily to start-ups and local businesses with the intention of them becoming your client and also money coming in (if at all) inconsistently. I navigated through the unknowns and stepped way outside of my comfort zone and lived life on the entrepreneur edge for the past year and a half.

That hard work and grind has just now come to a point where I have freedom of schedule and consistency of income, it’s also rewarding to see my clients’ businesses succeed due to the work that I’ve put into their company.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about VRod Experiential – what should we know?
What sets me apart from the competition is that I work with local, boutique, start-ups and apps that are in concept form. I work for people or companies that aren’t quite in financial position to hire a full-time marketing director or hire a massive agency, but they are in need of a consultant or “part time” marketing director who will scale their business and show them how to succeed.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
The Body Bungalow, founded by Jill Helman was my first client. She put her trust, her new business venture and her marketing budget in my care. Highlighting her business has been a dream job, but also allowed me to build a portfolio to show other business’s my capabilities.
