Meet Vanessa Quintana of The Clubhouse

Today we’d like to introduce you to Vanessa Quintana, the Creator of The Clubhouse.

Vanessa, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
The Clubhouse came to me four years ago in a dream, Literally a dream. In my dream I had threw an event for kids at a club, It was super kid-friendly, There was kid Dj’s, kid performers and all the kids that attend the event were having the time of their lives, I woke up at 4AM with the biggest smile on my face and wrote down all the details from my dream and the name came to me instantly, The Clubhouse! two months later I threw my very first event. We had 75 kids attend the first event, and I will forever be thankful to the 75 parents that believed in what I was trying to create, I had no pictures, no videos, no nothing. All I had was a vision that I had to explain to parents and they trusted me and my vision. And for that, I will forever be thankful.

The Clubhouse is a place for children that are passionate about music, dance, art, and fashion. The number one objective of The Clubhouse is for kids to have a place where they can freely express themselves without judgment. It’s a place where they can meet and interact with other kids that have similar interests. Every Clubhouse event has a new theme and location, but the one thing that remains the same is the pure fun of music, dance, and entertainment. Each event consists of a red carpet entrance, with kid interviewers running our red carpet, photo booth, kid djs, Kid Host/ MC, special guest performers, artists, Kid Vendors and much more. Most recently The Clubhouse featured performances by 1st place winners on world of dance, The Lab! and Sony Music Recording Artist Becky G, Roshon from Disney, and Mason and Julez.

We have been able to grow as a company because of our passion of creating this space and experience for the youth. It is honestly the best feeling in the world when kids come up to me during the event thanking me for what I have created and share with me comments like “This is the best day ever”, “I’m so happy I get to meet other kids just like me” , or “I feel like I can just be myself when I’m at the clubhouse “. That type of feedback is what keeps us going.

Today we average about 300 kids an event, every kid comes with a parent, so we average about 700 people an event! Till this very day, it amazes me on what we have created and to see if it grow right in front of my eyes is completely mind-blowing.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Some of the struggles we have been through with The clubhouse is having a hard time finding the perfect venue that fits the theme, budget and accommodates children. Another thing that we struggle with sometimes is picking and choosing entertainers, We get a lot of submissions to perform at The clubhouse events, So it’s really challenging sometimes to have to pick and choose.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about The Clubhouse – what should we know?
One big thing that we specialize at The clubhouse events “The Birthday Package” we offer a special package were children can celebrate their birthday at the clubhouse. We give them a complete VIP experience. The package includes a No waiting in line and gets escorted to the red carpet then in to the venue, VIP section for 8-10 kids, favorite snacks and drinks for the kids, goodie bags, photo props, we bring out apple cider bottles with sparklers and we bring out a birthday cake and have the whole event sing happy birthday. We give them the full VIP experience.

One thing that I’m so proud about with The clubhouse is that my events are run by all my family member, The person whole welcomes all my guest and checks in everyone is my amazing mom, She was a teacher for 17 years and have the best personality and I absolutely love the way she greets my guest, Then I have 6-8 of my uncles running the event as my security, then I have another 7-10 cousins or aunts assisting me with the VIP tables, preparation, decoration, audio, set up and break down and much more. It’s a family afire.

The thing that sets us apart from other people trying to throw these kids events is that we are consistent, we personally reach out to these parents and kids VS just sending them spam invites and etc… We also work directly with PR companies that send their clients to our events.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
My mom, Martha Quintana has been my biggest supporter, without her none of my clubhouse events would be possible. She assists me with planning, preparation and everything on the day of the event. I’m truly so blessed to be able to have my mom on my team.
