Meet Vanessa Braun

Today we’d like to introduce you to Vanessa Braun.

Hi Vanessa, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Born and raised in Europe, Germany, I started my career as a businesswoman in luxury real estate at the international company Engel & Völkers. Later on, I became a Key Account Manager for Germany’s Nr. 1 real estate platform ImmoScout24 and was responsible for managing over 150 of their biggest business partners.

My American journey started when I fell in love with my soulmate who is my boyfriend and business partner now for over 1 1/2 years. We met online and after talking for months on FaceTime and finally seeing each other for three weeks, I decided to move from Germany to Los Angeles.

A new chapter began, I fully committed to my lifelong dream to become an entrepreneur and also was able to combine my creativity with my previous business experiences. Together with an amazing team, we have produced over 500 pieces of short and long-form content for social media in the last year that have resulted in over 100 million views and counting. With our brand “Mr. and Mrs. Global” we tell our personal love story, share our travel adventures, educate people about how to have a healthy relationship, and entertain over 100.000 people on TikTok with daily couple content. We are focusing on continuing to grow an international community and be a blueprint/inspiration for other business-oriented couples around the globe.

I am also very honored to be the Chief Creative Officer of the anti-bullying fitness brand #HaterzStayBack. As a nonprofit company, #HaterzStayBack raises awareness to help stop bullying and prevent suicide. I cannot stress enough how important it is to be aware of the fact that bullying can happen anywhere, comes in different faces, and can result in serious consequences, especially for children!

The more you build up your self-confidence and focus on your mental health, the lower the risk to become a victim of bullying. Right now, we are looking for #HaterzStayBack ambassadors all over the world who are willing to share their own stories of how they become their strongest selves. We recently redesigned our collection. So if you like comfortable and sporty lifestyle clothes and want to support what #HaterzStayBack represents, visit us at www.haterzstayback.com. We donate 10% of the profit to “Stand for the Silent”, an international organization that educates children and parents in schools about bullying.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t always been smooth but I’m the type of person who puts on the seatbelt instead of getting out of the car when the road gets bumpy.

The entire transitional process from full-time employee to becoming my own boss while also adapting to a new country at the same time was overwhelming at first. I was constantly out of my comfort zone and to make progress I had to work on my mindset to overcome my fears and learn how to control the emotional in-balance that all of the changes had created.

Although it cost a lot of energy going through so much trial and error at the beginning of building something new, I always enjoyed and still enjoy the journey itself which keeps me going no matter what.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
First and foremost credit goes to the love of my life, Jay. I’m so grateful for being able to build our brand “Mr. and Mrs. Global” together with him by just being the best versions of ourselves. This wouldn’t be possible without trusting and inspiring each other and growing together every day. Having a teammate that supports you but also isn’t afraid to tell you when you’re wrong is a game changer!

The feedback of the Mr. and Mrs. Global-Community also deserves credit. People all over the world relate to our content and to experience that I could help give them a little smile on a rough day or feel understood makes me happy and gives me the energy to keep going every day.

I also want to give credit to the hardworking female business community here in Los Angeles. I’m very inspired anytime I get the opportunity to meet a strong woman focusing on her dreams without getting distracted in the jungle of this big city or taking any shortcuts.

Last but not least, a shout-out to my family and friends – goes without saying that you are the best! Happy to always have your unconditional love and to be able to pass on the message of love to people who need it most.
