Today we’d like to introduce you to Valentina Sumavsky
Hi Valentina , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am an actor and an entrepreneur, I was born in Santa Monica but grew up in Mexico most of my life. I have an acting career in Mexico and just last year won 2 best actress awards for my movie “Please don’t abandon me”
Art has always been my path and part of my life, everything that I do has to be in a creative way, that’s just how I naturally do things in my life.
I moved back to La 4 years ago, I started my business “Muros” almost a year ago with one of my best friends. Muros does architectural design, digital design and letter by letter signs. We discus in renders, design, plans, etc..
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Starting a business it’s always hard. Specially in LA there is a lot of competition, but with all that competition aldo brings great opportunity.
The idea of muros is having fun along the way and enjoying the journey. We created muros to bring art and design into spaces and business and do it having fun as friends
As an actor is the same. It’s all about enjoying what you do. If you stop enjoying it it loses all purpose.

Im Valentina Sumavsky I am an actor and entrepreneur, my passion in life is art, I have been in telenovelas, short films, movies, and tv series.
I started acting at the age of nine when I was living in mexico. I would go to acting, singing, dance classes every single day after school. It was my normal.
When I turn 18 I got accepted at VFS (vancouver film school) and after a few years I graduated from the acting for film and TV program. I moved back to mexico and started my television career.
This last September my last movie premiered in mexico and we hit several nominations and awards from it including 3 best actress nominations for me and winning 2 of those awards one in the USA and one in Shanghai
Muros came right after that movie, my best friend Fanny and me came up with the idea of creating a business we’re we can continue seeing each other more often and be creative !
Muros was created to enjoy and have fun while working with your friends
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I grew up in Cuernavaca a small city really close to Mexico City, full of nature and always sunny, cuernavaca it’s called the city of the eternal spring! Always being a curious girl, and art has always being present in my life, my mom had an arts school so I was always in classes. Thanks to art classes I always being able to express my self and my emotions. I was a very fun girl full of energy.
