Meet Tricia Trimble of Suntegrity in Huntington Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tricia Trimble.

Tricia, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Having lost my Mom to Melanoma skin cancer, I’ve been a big proponent of wearing sunscreen. About 8 years ago, I came across the EWG/Skin Deep Sunscreen Guide and learned how toxic most traditional sunscreens are. That prompted me to create one in honor of my Mom that was non-toxic, smelled good and was great for everyday use. I did a ton of research on ingredients and found experts in all aspects of the business from formulation to packaging and created Suntegrity.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The biggest challenge has been managing the growth of the company with limited personnel. It never feels like there are enough hours in the day to accomplish everything I’d like to.

Please tell us about Suntegrity.
We specialize in beauty-boosting sun care. We are known for our mineral sunscreens made with zinc oxide that not only protect the skin, but make it look and feel great! I’m most proud that our sunscreens have earned top ratings by the EWG in their yearly sunscreen guides since we first submitted them in 2010.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
There were a few times in the past where I wish I would have ordered more product because the product sold quicker than we expected and we ended up on backorder.
