Travis and Michelle, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
LA Hemp Tours was founded because we wanted to provide both Los Angeles natives and tourists alike an educational, fun, safe, and alternative scenic sightseeing tour, to learn about the cannabis industry and the potential medical benefits of CBD and cannabis products.
Travis and Michelle have over 100 years of living experience in Los Angles between the two of them and introduce both tourist and LA natives alike to some of the most amazing hidden treasures that Los Angeles has to offer! Our tours are very interactive, diverse and are a fun way to spend four hours to see the parts of Los Angeles that are off the Hollywood and Venice beaten path.
We also wanted to make our tours educational for personal reasons. Michelle’s mother passed away 4 years ago from complications of Crohn’s Disease. While visiting her mother in a nursing home before her passing, Michelle’s mother had asked her about CBD and THC products as an alternative to traditional medicine. Michelle would also hear other patients at the nursing home ask about the potential benefits of CBD and THC as an alternative to traditional medicines and the side effects that they cause.
Unfortunately, Michelle mother’s health deteriorated quickly, and she was unable to properly research the benefits of CBD and THC products before her mom passed away. After discovering the numerous health benefits that CBD and THC products can offer, Michelle wanted to provide a service so that other people could avoid the same heartbreak that she went through.
It was for these reasons that we decided to start LA Hemp Tours! We at LA Hemp Tours took the time to investigate and visit over 150 cannabis dispensary’s in the Los Angeles area in order to take our customers to the very best “Cannabis Cup” award-winning, fully compliant, regulated, and California licensed dispensary’s that LA has to offer. Our luxury Party Bs is custom-designed for a truly first-class experience complete with all the amenities to include, a refrigerator, USB ports, Blue tooth, Spotify, rolling papers, pipes, and joint ashtrays for your smoking pleasure! And of course, bottled water, sodas, chips, and snacks come complimentary with every tour!
While there are many different types of tours in Los Angeles, LA Hemp Tours is the only tour in LA that is a safe, fun, scenic and educational tour into the world of cannabis. So whether you are visiting from out of town or an LA local looking for a unique experience, LA Hemp Tours is more than a tour, it is truly an adventure!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
A lot of work went into creating LA Hemp Tours and we still continue to face challenges. A lot of time went into us fully vetting over 150 dispensary’s and making LA Hemp Tours a reality. Our party bus is a new party bus that was completely stripped down and re-designed with a magnificent interior for a true first-class experience with no cost sparred. Finding the right person to take on this challenge was not easy but we were able to find the right person to deliver a true luxurious party bus.
Our on-going challenges continue to be related to advertising. Unfortunately, there is still a big stigma attached to cannabis, and we are not able to advertise on platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and other advertising outlets. Furthermore, there are many mobile apps that will not allow us to list our tours on their venue and websites. As more and more states begin to legalize cannabis, we hope a greater acceptance in the advertising space opens up for us.

We pride ourselves on offering the only first-class cannabis tour that is fully State of California and CHP compliant for the safety and comfort for our guests. We specialize in offering a wide variety of specialty cannabis and scenic tours that only make stops at the very best dispensary’s LA has to offer. We also provide discrete “private tours” for A-listers, birthday parties, bachelor/Bachelorette parties, corporate parties or any event to meet your requirements to include pick-up and drop-off locations of your choosing.
Unlike other cannabis tours that take their customers to non-compliant dispensary’s and only offer 5% – 10% discounts to their customers on their cannabis purchases, we only stop at fully licensed dispensary’s and we refuse to take any kickbacks from the dispensary’s which is why our customers receive a 15% – 20% discount on all of their cannabis product purchases.
