Meet Trailblazer Marcy Garcia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marcy Garcia.

Marcy, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Most of my life, I have struggled with finding my voice and confidence, my life was not the easiest. I was raised by my father and my strong, courageous grandmother. My mother was in and out of my life for as long as I can remember, battling drug addiction until this day. I had my daughter at 14 years old and faced many hardships. Because of these struggles and my own battle to find happiness and strength, I decided that I wanted to help young women overcome adversity and build a peaceful life for themselves.

Although I have found ways to create confidence and peace for myself, I realize there are too many women who need to find their inner strength and confidence and they don’t know where to look. I am on a mission to help women become fearless and confident.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been smooth and easy. Life coaching is very competitive and reaching people can be difficult at times, so it is very important to make sure that you are marketing yourself and networking as much as possible. The best advice I can give other women who are starting their journey is that as long as you LOVE what you do the struggles will be worth it. Love is the one thing that will keep you motivated and push you when you feel like giving up.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Marcy Garcia “Life Coach” – what should we know?
I am a Confidence Building Life Coach, I specialize in coaching and mentoring women to find happiness within themselves so they can create a fulfilled and complete life!

What I am most proud of is that what I help women with “self confidence” is one of the few things no one can take away from them. It’s a gift that will never die but only get stronger. I love knowing that I am helping to make a difference in the world by starting with the women in my community.

What sets me apart is that I understand more than anyone what it feels like when you dealt a bad hand in life and I have the utmost compassion and respect for Women who are fighting daily to be the best they can be.

Which women have inspired you in your life?
Although my mother has not always been the ideal mom, I have been blessed with several strong women. I have two women/mentors in my life that pushed me to become who I am today, my daughter’s aunt and grandmother. They are both very strong career-driven women that lead me along the way and pushed me to finish schooling and taught me how to be a strong independent woman. They held my hand along the way so that I wouldn’t take the same footsteps that my mother took. It’s so important to have someone in your life that can stand by you during the good and bad.
