Today we’d like to introduce you to Liane Valenzuela.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Liane. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Growing up, I’ve always enjoyed music, dancing, fashion, and art. I’ve performed in talent shows, recitals, and church. My dad also owned a DJ company before and we would both perform at parties. After high school, I moved to LA to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. Took acting classes, vocal coaching, dance classes. Even did some red carpet hosting for “The Voice” and “American Idol”. I used to sing back up for an artist named Dev, I would tour with her over the weekends and sell cars Mon-Friday for work. Then, I started shooting more social media content to help build my audience. I was active on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram. Once I started using this app called “Vine” which is an app that records 6-second videos that loops, I accumulated a million followers within six months! Then, my followers overflowed to my other social media apps. Since then, I’ve been able to quit my job and go full time working as a social media influencer. I was able to support myself financially and buy my parents their first home here in LA. Social media has brought so many opportunities and I’m just grateful to be able to do what I love for a living and support my family.
Has it been a smooth road?
It definitely wasn’t a smooth road, there were multiple times I’ve wanted to give up. Biggest challenge for me was to find a team that I could trust. My advice to women or young women that want to pursue this career is to stay focused and true to who you are. Surround yourself with good people that support you, that brings nothing but positive energy.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I’m a content creator. I grew my following doing comedy skits on the app called Vine.
Now, I’m creating beauty videos and lifestyle vlogs on YouTube. Consistently putting out content on all social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter.
Which women have inspired you in your life?
My mother and sisters has inspired me to work hard, growing up, I’ve only seen them work and never complain, they just have this drive that motivates me. Beyoncé and JLo are also a big inspiration to me because I admire their work.
