Meet the Nolan Twins

Today we’d like to introduce you to the Nolan Twins.

Let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
We’re identical twins born and raised in sunny Miami, FL. After graduating from Loyola University New Orleans, we were cast on CBS’ Big Brother 17 as the infamous “twin twist,” where we were tasked to fool the houseguests into thinking we were the SAME person! After this unique experience, we decided to leave our 9-5’s back home and pursue a creative career by moving to Hollywood, CA.

We’ve been acting and modeling in the industry for three years now with appearances on major shows like Netflix’s Lucifer and MTV’s The Challenge 33. We maintain a strong social media presence by partnering with major brands and creating weekly content on our YouTube channel, which has over 25k+ subscribers. So far, we’re loving the entrepreneur lifestyle & constant hustle LA requires, and we hope to keep on doing what we love most- twinning!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Moving across the country from all of our friends + family was NOT easy, however, a little easier since we had each other. As you know, LA is very expensive so we couldn’t live off our prize earnings forever. In order to further support ourselves while also pursuing our dreams, we decided to get jobs in the nightlife industry. For two years, we worked at popular clubs such as Hyde and Doheny Room for SBE hospitality group. We made amazing connections and lifelong friends from that experience. With lots of hard work & acting classes, we were able to quit those jobs and join SAG-AFTRA, where we now work full time in the film industry. Our best advice is: don’t be afraid to get a side hustle while you’re pursuing a career in what you love!

We’d love to hear more about Nolan Twins.
As identical twins, we have fortunately been able to work together on so many cool twin projects here in LA. We both have a strong passion for acting & modeling, and our dynamic personalities truly set us apart. We’ve produced and edited our own YouTube content for over three years now, so our fans have been able to follow along on our journey every step of the way.

We’re interested to hear your thoughts on female leadership – in particular, what do you feel are the biggest barriers or obstacles?
The biggest barrier today to female leadership in our industry is FEAR (and this was in part, true for us.) In a career where everything is based on your appearance, the pressure to constantly look good and appease your audience can be stressful. The acting and modeling industry has taught us to develop thick skin as we face rejection daily, whether it’s with castings or negative comments on social media. We stay afloat by keeping each other motivated and having a positive mindset by getting to do what we love every day!
