So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I created Alexiss Swimwear mainly because of the gap in the market for swimwear that catered to women of various sizes. Being a plus size model is something that I find very empowering. Being plus size isn’t the negative term everyone makes it out to be. I look at it as “plus means positive!” It’s not just one size, but an entire array of sizes and curves of different proportions. When people comment that being “plus size” means you’re being the voice for obesity, my question is “are you my doctor?” “do you know our health history?” You can be smaller sized and unhealthy just like you can be bigger and be healthy. As long as you’re happy, that’s number one. So many people put such pressure on being physically healthy, but we need to remember that mental health is just as important! Self love and happiness is first and foremost. Don’t try and tear down someone who is practicing self love because it says a lot more about you than it ever would about them.
Has it been a smooth road?
Alexiss Swimwear helps women embrace self love with a variety of sizes. There’s always the brands that go from small to large and then you have the plus size brands. But how many times have you found something on one of those sites and got so bummed out that they didn’t carry your size? Enter Alexiss Swimwear. Our sizing goes from XS-4XL depending on product and the biggest thing we offer is top sizing for A-H cup ladies. Finding swimwear for a bigger chest is tough; finding swimwear for a bigger chest that’s stylish and supportive is near impossible. This is why I created my brand, Alexiss Swimwear. I work on every single design hands on as well as personally pick out the fabrics and over see the entire production to make sure the quality is the best of the best. With thousands of satisfied customers and tons of photos and testimonials, it’s definitely my proudest creation. It bridges women of all sizes together to look and feel confident in swimwear they can trust. Plus, it allows you to prove that “Beauty is Not a Size®”
