Today we’d like to introduce you to Torrian Ball.
So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I am a viral rap artist, best selling author, influencer, and actor. I started in the music industry young being signed to legendary Chicago rap artist Twista at age 14. Learning the business at such a young age made me more powerful and strategic when my career started taking off. I went viral on several social media platforms in 2018 and have continued to do so in the present day. My particular style of Relatable Rap has pushed me to the forefront of up and coming rappers due to my substance, empowering lyrics, and powerful delivery. I moved to Los Angeles this past year, from living my entire life in the Midwest, to expand my following and really put myself in position to become one of the biggest rappers in the game.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Life has been far from smooth. I have literally been through hell and back a few times. I was adopted by my grandparents at birth and my dad has been in prison my entire life. I was paralyzed at age 16 and had to teach myself how to walk again. I lost my grandfather, brother, and mother all in back to back years and had to overcome severe depression and anxiety. I gave up the wild “rapper lifestyle” and quit drinking and have been transparent about my entire journey. You can hear my story in my lyrics and that is one of the main reasons people follow me and are motivated by my story.
Can you give our readers some background on your music?
I specialize in Relatable Rap. I create music, quotes, and content all around relatable life subjects that all human beings experience. I am known for my music and my loyal Vibe Tribe. I am most proud that I run this entire company by myself and what sets me apart from others is my hands-on approach to customer service, directing my own videos, and really being in full creative control over music with such a powerful message that the world desperately needs.
What were you like growing up?
I was the shy but social popular kid. I hung out with the popular kids and the weird kids because I felt like I could relate to both. I played sports and skipped school and smoked a lot of weed. I was the life of the party and the kid you wanted to know.
