Meet Tony Moss of I.AM.LIFE

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tony Moss.

Tony, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I am a visual and recording artist, event producer, and founder of I.AM.LIFE, a non-profit event production company focused on interconnectivity. It is clear, to me, that the only lasting, sustainable way forward for humanity is to bring together the best of indigenous and modern worldviews; our knowledge, wisdom, and technologies, to create a new, shared cosmology – what some are calling, “A new story”.

My work is a synthesis of passions in art, spirituality & science, with emphasis on the evolution of human consciousness and potential. From 20 years experience working with ayahuasca, I am a public advocate for “right relationship” use of all plant medicines. I’ve been called a mystic and a rationalist – true – who marvels at the very presence of our being

In 2012 I founded I.AM.LIFE, a non-profit “conscious” production company and youth empowerment project that focuses on interconnectivity. I was driving along one day, cruising to a stop sign and suddenly had the spontaneous revelation that I was living. It was simple and profound.

I realized that at the core of most, if not all, of humanities challenges is a lack of connection – to each other, to life. So… I.AM.LIFE and just about everything else I do focuses on the spirit, experience, and science of interconnectivity, producing projects and events that bring together modern and indigenous wisdom and knowledge to build community and inspire connection. Because life is awesome! I’ve been working with “plant medicines”, primarily ayahuasca, for over 20 years now.

Being in “right relationship” with plants medicines teaches us to be in right relationship with ourselves, each other, and the world. Like many, I feel the revolution needed to overcome the challenges facing humanity is an accelerated evolution of human consciousness. And this consciousness would be an interconnected eco-consciousness – a union of ancient and new understandings of the world and ourselves that reconnects us to “the garden” and the cosmos in revaltory awe of who we are.

Intentional, ceremonial, psyco-spiritual use of plant medicines and entheogens offer all that; healing us from historic/ancestral traumas and, as my lifelong friend, Sunny Solwind, would say, help us “cure stupidity.”

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The road is never smooth. Many bumps along the way and amazing lessons from the breakdowns and upsets.

In addition to the learning the logistics of successful event production, learning to present “public ceremonies” in a way that was accessible to a wide audience of people without sound like new age, spiritual mumbo jumbo, hippie bullshit, was likely the most difficult hurdle to cross.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with I.AM.LIFE – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We produce interactive, celebratory, community-building, and ceremonial events to open hearts and connect us with the world and each other.

As we see it, most, if not all, of the world’s current challenges stem, fundamentally, from a lack of connection – to the world and each other. Our events combine aspects of traditional indigenous ceremony and wisdom with modern technology, creating contemporary ceremonial experiences that re-establish a sense of connection.

In our experience, the combining of traditional/indigenous and modern transformational technologies is a powerful and necessary contribution towards bringing forth a thriving, just, and sustainable world.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We’re launching a music label: “Birds In Paradise” is a contemporary “medicine music” album inspired by indigenous traditional and shamanic ceremony. It is in production now and will feature original music and collaborations from a stellar collection of some of our favorite artists.
