Thanks for sharing your story with us Toni. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Four years ago, I got my certification in being a certified professional makeup artist, from there, I always had a passion for eyelashes & I could never go a day without my false lashes. One day I was just thinking to myself and thought, imagine if I had my own eyelash company?
I thought hmmm I have no experience going to college for business classes, there’s no way I’m going to take out a huge loan etc, but that didn’t stop me, I did my own research, and saved up all my tip money working as a waitress at Knott’s Berry Farm. I took a risk sent all my money I had saved up. Now my eyelash company is in 14 stores.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, there’s been some trial & error but there’s always gonna be obstacles, but it only pushes me more to grow bigger & better!
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Forever Lash’d By Toni – what should we know?
My eyelash company specializes in high-quality mink lashes & 3D silk lashes. We currently have nine styles that fit anyone’s style, whether it’s a natural look, dramatic or in between. I think what makes me proud about my company is knowing that I did everything on my own, to my research, my website building, & getting those returning customers that can’t get enough of the lashes. It makes me feel good knowing I created something that girls & guys can wear!
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
The quality I think is most important to my success is staying true to yourself / believing in yourself. If you don’t believe in yourself you won’t take risks.
