Today we’d like to introduce you to Tommy Vandetta.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Tommy. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My main inspirations that lead to my introduction into music and arts would have to be around the age of five years old. That’s when members of my family would have me freestyle with them, but I would barely say any real words but had pure rhythm. At the time, I didn’t actually look at music as something I wanted to do and more as a fun moment with the ones I love. This quickly changed when I later found myself doing poetry which also leads to my high usage of new words that intrigued me. That would direct me in my early teens in joining the NYS Spelling-Bee, which I almost would of won but couldn’t spell one final word; but that’s another story. Well, I can tell you the main thing that I do know that lead me to be a music artist today, seriously was in my 10th grade year of high school. Being at my school’s lunch table, hearing such inspirational verses as well as sub par verses, these two things inspired me to aim to do the same and better if possible. My group member and co-founder (MRXMN) was my initial inspiration into becoming an artist, he showed nothing but raw talent and skill; something I knew I had as well but never honed in on that craft.
During high school, I dealt with people throwing down my dreams of being an artist by telling me I was bad and would never grow in talent. The following year I proved all of those people wrong, which led to me building pure confidence in myself and skill. After high school, I focused on building with a team, which ended up being V9 Productions, where we created in-house space to develop music, videos, film and more. Now I myself as a professional music artist/producer, who runs a business within music, consistently work to be able to express my values through my art, culture, and upbringing as well as share light, knowledge, and development with others. I truly take pride in my journey and will continue to strive to be the best that I can be on that journey!
Has it been a smooth road?
Many of the struggles I faced were due to people looking down on my capabilities when it came to my craft. Each year it’s more showing and proving to people who don’t believe in me or doubted my abilities to strive to greater achievement!

V9 Productions was started in 2016. We focus on developing engaging content with our followers, through riveting music and visuals that capture attention. We now create digital assets for artists, businesses, and organizations in need of artistic use.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Yes, I do believe LA is one of the best cities to be an artist/producer. If not the best city for that!
