Meet Toi Holliday

Today we’d like to introduce you to Toi Holliday.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I grew up in the city of Lynwood located on the outskirts of Los Angeles, CA. I am the eldest of my mother’s eight children; I have four sisters and three brothers. As I look back on how I started and how I got to where I am today, I attribute it to my family and upbringing. My bible thumping grandmother ran a tight ship, and everyone in the neighborhood was very aware of it.

Today, I smile as I reminisce about the street lights coming on and hearing my grandmother yell out the front door, “Toi and Aaron get in here!!” (Aaron is my first brother). In the middle of playing Hide and Seek with the other neighborhood children, Grandma’s voice pierced with an echo through the silence as we hid from each other; within moments the game would come to a streaking halt, and we would race to make our way home.

The valuable lessons I learned as a child were making God and family first, as this has been the pillar of strength I have come to rely on. Roughly three and half years ago, after having what I thought was a successful career in healthcare management abruptly ended. I was served with a pink slip and given my last check just minutes before a committee meeting.

I remember that day so vividly, I laughed and cracked a few jokes as it was truly the most beautiful day I had seen in a long time. As I drove home, I stopped for an ice cream cone and immediately started planning on how I was going to grow my wellness consulting services and real estate investing business at the same time. To make a very long story short, things did not turn out the way I planned.

In the Fall of 2016, I ended up in Hollywood Hills with a real estate license and other promising ventures. Partnering with marketing writers, I authored a few book titles dedicated to guiding buyers and sellers through the real estate processes. Followed by the start of building my international network of real estate partnerships launched in Dubai, UAE.

Has it been a smooth road?
Has the road been smooth? Haha, absolutely not. Life is definitely full of many surprises with unknown realized detours along the way. During my transition prior to my move to the Los Angeles area, there were times when I didn’t know if I would have enough money for gas or food to eat.

I began selling personal belongings (i.e., televisions, bookshelves, patio furniture, etc.) just to purchase bare necessities. I would not have been able to survive during that time without my family, faith and the few friends who surprised me with their kindness and generosity. I love them all so dearly.

We’d love to hear more about what you do.
As a Realtor® and professional business woman, I am passionate about helping people achieve and realize their goals. I am here to help my clients make their dreams of selling, buying and investing in real estate become a reality. I use a one-on-one protocol with all clientele followed by a team-based approach in helping property owners and buyers alike.

I service the Los Angeles area and surrounding cities, the Inland Empire and have a network throughout select international cities. I specialize in working with investors, the luxury home market place, with buyers and international investment opportunities.

Where do you see your industry going over the next 5-10 years?  Any big shifts, changes, trends, etc?
Over the next 5 to 10 years, it is inevitable the market will shift, and trends will change. As a real estate professional, it is important to remember that no matter what status the real estate market is in, I still have an opportunity to help someone achieve their goals.
