Now with two partners and a TEAM of 20 and offices around the globe, Eris Talent and Literary Agency is making their mark.
Tina is also a voting member of the Television Academy.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No road worth traveling is smooth. But I have learned from the bumps. I try to take what I can from every experience. This business requires a tough skin. While things definitely hurt along the way, I have learned to brush it off and keep my eyes facing forward.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Headquartered in Los Angeles with offices in New York, Mexico and an affiliate in the UK. Eris opened their distribution arm, called Eris Entertainment, in January 2021 and distributes films, documentaries, and TV shows. Atlanta opens 2021
What sets us apart is we are creative in our thinking. As times change, we also have dramatically shifted gears as well. We are one a few boutique agencies who package films. This gives our clients many unique opportunities. We also give a personal touch to all our clients. We are one big family.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
As a business owner, I don’t think I realized the amount of work it would take. It’s the little things you don’t think about that push the daily schedule to the max, things like tech issues, training staff, putting out fires, and just basically making sure the company’s mission statement is being upheld.
But there is also pride. I feel so proud when I see what the agency has become. I see all the actors, writers, producers, etc. we represent who are thriving and that is a great feeling. We are here to help make dreams come true. Every time we contribute to that, it puts a smile to my face.
