Today we’d like to introduce you to Timmy Manson Jr.
Timmy, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Music has always been a part of my life since I was little kid. I’ve been playing drums since I was three years old. Keys since I was five years old. Producing since I was 13 years old. Growing up, I played in church every Sunday, which helped me become the musician I am today.
When I was 18, once I graduated high school I started to post beats on YouTube. And it started to get a little traction. That fall year. I moved to LA attended Musicians Institute. There, I got one of the biggest opportunities of my life through an audition. I played at The Oscars 2018 w/ The Greatest Showman. That opened a lot of doors for me. That was really the start of “Eyes on the Ball Timmy” movement.
Later that year, I started to work w/ people like Adam Blackstone (BBE) & Harold Lilly (Hardcover) which opened many doors for me as well and taught me maturity at a young age. Now, that I’m 20 years old. The passion I have for music production, programming, arranging and Musical Directing have been at all-time high. I’m currently the MD for Leikeli47 & JAMESDAVIS who are with Hardcover Ent. under Harold Lilly.

Produced: Rihanna Fenty Show (SAVAGE X FENTY), Isabella Peschdart, Samoht, and more.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has been a roller coaster for sure. The fact that I’m so young makes me run into situations like not getting respect right away because they think I don’t know what I’m doing. A 20-year-old Music Director is not something you see normally but I’m blessed to be able to do some dope things at an early and to show the world that age is JUST a number and shouldn’t stop you from anything no matter what.

What sets my business from others is the fact that there are so many different resources that can help so many people. Whatever you ask me to do it’s going get to done and the mission doesn’t stop until your satisfied. I’m Simply all about letting the artist’s vision come to life in front of their eyes every time we work.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
The access to some many different resources and opportunities. There’s so much to do all of the time. I simply despise the traffic.
