Meet Tiffany Wojtkiewicz of ONEHOPE Wine in El Segundo and Orange County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Wojtkiewicz. (ONEHOPE Wine President and Co-Founder)

Thanks for sharing your story with us Tiffany . So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started working in the wine business right after I graduated college; it was a great introduction into the wine industry. I was able to learn from the best quickly and meet some inspirational teammates who ultimately became my fellow co-founders of ONEHOPE. When we were starting out in the wine industry, we saw numerous brands supporting National Breast Cancer Awareness Month during the month of October. These cause marketing campaigns inspired us to want to give more. We wanted to create a brand and build a company that made a social impact 365 days a year and in turn, give our community the opportunity to support causes they truly cared about. To date, we’ve donated over $5M to meaningful causes including childhood hunger, reforestation and pet adoption.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
When we started ONEHOPE, we were in our early twenties and jumping into an industry that was difficult to navigate. Our passion for wine and impact has truly gotten us to where we are today. From the early days of finding a distributor to then implementing technology to allow direct-to-consumer shipping, there are always going to be struggles when launching a business. It is important to always be learning and growing and thinking about the future of the industry and that is exactly what we’ve been doing.

ONEHOPE Wine – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We launched in 2007, selling wine out of the backs of our cars. Today, we have evolved into a nationally recognized wine brand that is served in top hotels and restaurants, has built a community of over 7,000 Cause Entrepreneurs that market our wine throughout the country, and will be opening our flagship winery in the heart of Napa Valley in the coming months. We are so grateful that we’ve been able to give back year round with our wine and are able to encourage others to do so as well. Some of the accomplishments we are most proud of are: donating over $5M to important causes around the world, becoming one of the top 250 wineries by volume, building one of the fastest-growing direct to consumer wine brands in the U.S. and enabling over 7,000 people throughout the nation to earn an income and make an impact.

What role has luck (good luck or bad luck) played in your life and business?
Luck has definitely played a part in my life, my success, and career. I was extremely lucky to have supportive parents who focused on my development and education and to be raised in an environment where all of my basic needs were met. I was fortunate to have met my incredible co-founders. I was in the right place at the right time. But, I also worked really hard to get to that place where I was able to meet like-minded entrepreneurs. My mom has always said, “The harder I work, the luckier I get,” and I truly believe that. There are very few overnight successes. Behind the curtain of what looks like sudden success is often years of work, struggle, trial and error, and failures. Practicing resilience and mental toughness is the key to continue growing a mission you are passionate about. The harder you work, the more great ideas and opportunities you create for yourself.
