Hi Tiffany, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
A Journey from Dream to Purpose: My Story
Growing up, my dream was to become an actress. As a young girl, I was endlessly creative with an imagination that could fill a thousand stages. In high school, I pursued theater passionately, and that dedication carried me into college, where I joined a fairly well known theater program in Los Angeles. Acting was my world, but at 19, I had a pivotal realization: I didn’t want to be a starving actress. I needed a backup plan, a foundation to fall back on if my dream didn’t pan out.
That’s when I made the decision to attend cosmetology school. From the moment I walked through the doors, I knew it was the right choice. I thrived in the creative, hands-on environment and completed my 1,600 hours with excitement for the journey ahead. Bright-eyed and eager, I launched my career, though I was admittedly naïve about the industry I was stepping into.
My first job was eye-opening, but not in the way I had hoped. The woman I worked for was borderline abusive, and I left after just two weeks. My second job wasn’t much better; the environment was toxic, filled with yelling, blame, and constant fear. After seven long months, I hit my breaking point. I remember sitting in my car after a particularly grueling shift, crying and feeling utterly defeated. I called my mom and told her I was going to nursing school. She gently reminded me, “You hate blood and pass out at the sight of it,” to which I replied, “I’ll figure it out. Nothing is worse than this.”
But something shifted in me that day. I believe the good Lord stepped in and gave me clarity. I made myself a promise: I wouldn’t let anyone take away my passion or my future. I decided that one day, when I reached a place of success in my career, I would dedicate myself to changing this industry for the better.
With renewed determination, I started over. I found a new assistant position and worked my way up the ladder—from assistant to commission stylist, to chair rental, to suite, and eventually to owning my own salon. Along the way, something beautiful happened: my love for the theater arts transformed into a love for hair and business. The creativity and storytelling that once drove me on stage now found new life in the transformations I created for my clients and the business strategies I developed. I realized this was where I was meant to be—this was my destiny.
I discovered two things I was deeply passionate about: training stylists and hair extensions. I loved watching transformations unfold in my chair and witnessing the confidence they gave my clients.
This passion inspired me to create my own hair extension line, Christian Michael Hair Extensions, named after the most important person in my world at the time: my first son. From the start, my vision was clear—I wanted to build a consistent, trustworthy brand that supported hairstylists rather than hindered them. I also made it my mission to offer top-tier education that could truly transform careers.
In my first year as an educator, my company certified over 100 students and brought on two incredible educators to help expand our reach. Watching hairstylists double and even triple their income was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. It reaffirmed that I was exactly where I was meant to be.
Through this journey, I’ve learned that anything is possible when you keep your dreams at the forefront and refuse to give up. The road hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge has shaped me into who I am today. And now, my purpose is clear: to empower hairstylists, elevate this industry, and remind others that no dream is too big to achieve.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, the road has been anything but easy. I’ve faced challenges that tested not only my resolve but also my faith in others. There were moments when people I trusted deeply hurt me and even tried to harm my business. On top of that, finding the right manufacturer for my brand was an extremely expensive and grueling process—I had no idea what I was getting myself into.
But through it all, I never stopped believing in my vision, and I never let the hardships change who I am as a person. I’ve worked hard to maintain my faith in people, even when it was difficult. I’ve learned that while some of those you trust may hurt you, it doesn’t mean you should stop trusting altogether. Instead, I’ve come to see these moments as valuable lessons, helping shape me to be a more resilient version of myself. Each obstacle was a stepping stone that brought me closer to my purpose.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Christian Michael Hair Extensions ?

What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite childhood memories was going to Disneyland. I remember being so excited that I couldn’t sleep the night before—it felt like a dream come true! The moment we arrived, I was completely mesmerized and never wanted to leave. Meeting every princess was the highlight of the trip, and I remember thinking, “I hope I can be just like her when I grow up.” It was pure magic, and that experience has stayed with me ever since.
