Today we’d like to introduce you to Thomas Haderlie.
Hi Thomas, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started as a small-town kid from Wyoming with no real direction for what I wanted to do once I graduated. Since I wasn’t sure what to do, and I definitely had no college fund set aside for me, I joined the U.S. Army at 17 and started my path as a young adult. While I was in active duty, I deployed to Afghanistan in 2014 to support Special Forces as a young 19-year-old infantryman. Once I was out of active duty I initially began working construction as a Pipefitter in the Denver area for five years. During this period, I wanted to do something more again and got into special operations in the U.S. Reserves. As I was nearing the end of my time with construction, I realized that I didn’t want to continue crushing myself like that for the rest of my life, so I made the transition into business ownership, supporting the private sector for security and other skills. This type of work took me all over the country and allowed my wife and I to start traveling abroad, which is what motivated me to start a travel agency. I figured that with the experience I’ve gained from my walks everywhere, I could help others achieve what they wanted from traveling as well. While my agency is still in its infancy stage, I’ve been fortunate enough to help people achieve some of their dreams and booked over $20k in travel already.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I don’t think very many people in this world can navigate it without some struggles. Some of the struggles I’ve had were trying to separate war from normal life when I got home from deployment. I also made a few poor personal choices that continued to hold me back until I met my wife. She has made all the difference in surviving to thriving and having a real partner to help out our team in this world. Currently, my biggest struggle is trying to get my travel agencies name out there to help people achieve their traveling dreams without breaking the bank.

We’re not here to take advantage of people but rather to help them.
What are your plans for the future?
Currently, we plan to simply grow our clientele and continue to service people honorably. Being as the fact we’re just starting out, we don’t have any big changes coming yet. However, if we continue to grow, then we would be looking to grow our firm and get additional business fronts.
