Meet Terrie Huberman, Spiritual Intuitive in West Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Terrie Huberman.

Terrie, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I come from a family of psychics on my mother’s side, and it’s been innate in me since I was a child. I was always the weird, sensitive, talkative kid, who wanted to make sure everyone was well taken care of, happy, and entertained. Growing up I didn’t understand how or why I’d be able to feel what other people were feeling- their emotions or even physical discomfort.

I was always attracted to the metaphysical arts; my mom grew up in Cuba and would talk about stories of Santaria. I grew up Jewish, which is filled with various rituals based on mysticism, so I’m very blessed to have had a positive point of view of the spiritual world.

In 1999, I had a jaw reconstructive surgery and went through hypnosis to help with the anxiety of the surgery and for post op healing. I ‘should’ve’ had my jaws wired shut for 6 weeks, but healed in 3 weeks, and I truly believe it was the healing powers of energy and my mind. I then became a certified hypnotherapist and through all of the work using my subconscious mind, it awakened my intuitive abilities.

It was around 2010, when I learned I was a medium and could speak to people who were no longer living. I was inspired by a TV show about kids who had talents like mine, who would ghost hunt and thought to myself ‘ I could totally do that!’. I searched (it’s very difficult to become part of a legitimate paranormal team) for opportunities to ghost hunt and would get invited on investigations as the ‘sensitive’ (the psychic) of the team. I did finally become part of a team as the psychic, and one night I had my very first, what I know now, was a trance mediumship experience- where a spirit takes over the human body. It was extremely dramatic, scary, and physically exhausting. From the information I was able to pull from that experience, the team was able to correlate the information with other gathered data like news articles and EVPs, and we knew what was going on in that location, and I was able to allow the spirit to come through and deliver his message.

After that very taxing experience, I knew I needed to learn more about what happened to me and how to control it, so I could use it to help people.

I went for formal training, which I call ‘psychic mediumship’ boot camp, learned what had happened to me, learned about energy, and mostly learned how to harness and control it. I now teach people how to harness their own intuitive skills (everyone is intuitive, just not everyone uses that god given gift) and become empowered with it, instead of scared of it.

Along my journey, I became Reiki I & II certified, as well as Akashic Records certified, and I’ll keep going and continue to learn and develop healing modalities I’m guided to, so that I can bring comfort, closure, and empowerment to people who need it…all in a kind, compassionate manner with a side of humor.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has NOT been a smooth road! Far from it!

To be a good healer, you have to have been ‘healed’ yourself. So that means I too have ‘breakdowns’ and am not immune to any situation.

I’ve had physical ailments, heartbreak, financial obstacles, family issues, cynics/skeptics and competition to deal with. I’ve been told I’m a shill, a scam, a fraud, been called out publicly, and have been told I do the work of the devil.

I even have issues that I’m always working through, regarding faith and my belief in God. I’ve seen, experienced, heard about, etc so many strange situations that constantly makes me struggle with ‘why’ these situations happen…

So with every breakdown, there is a breakthrough (that’s the good news/bad news). I cry, I get angry, I mediate, I pray, and I move on and chalk it all up to experience and data files that I can now download and use for my psychic data bank so that I can l recognize it in someone else. The one constant I can depend on is inconsistency. Nothing ever stays the same. It can’t, not for soul evolution and human growth.

One of the biggest challenges I have now, is being single and finding a ‘partner in crime’. It’s tough to be taken seriously and respected in the dating world. I am different, I just am. I feel everything, I know many things in advance (not everything, contrary to belief, I am NOT all knowing), and I care way too much about people and their comfort. This can scare many men away because I often times represent authenticity and truth. If a guy doesn’t know himself well enough, there’s no way he can handle being with me. I just do things differently, it’s who I am.

So, as you know, we’re impressed  – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I’m a spiritual intuitive who brings comfort, closure and empowerment to folks so that they can live their best life RIGHT NOW! I connect with their energy and the spirit world to see what is going on in someone’s life to coach and guide them into being their best version of themselves, and I do this in an authentic, compassionate, kind manner and often times with a side of humor. I’ve been trained in improvisational comedy and laughter is very healing, so I make sure to use it appropriate times when needed.

I specialize in soul coaching and do this privately one-on one (in person, via phone, or Skype), in group settings (like corporate events, seance spirit circles, parties), or even large stage gallery style. I have a theatrical background which gives me the ability to speak to large groups of people easily and effortlessly, and in an entertaining, non-boring manner. I also teach folks how to bring out and improve their intuitive skills, so that they can use them to make decisions on a day-to-day basis for things like business, relationship, health, etc.

I’m known for my ability to be grounded in the reality of the world we live in, to make this non-tangible ‘stuff’ easy to grasp and understand in everyday, laymen terms. As an intuitive, I’m very proud of this, since I can get on the level of each individual and read what their comfort level is for them, making metaphysics less scary or think they’ll be taken over by demons or evil spirits.

What I’m most proud of in my work, is how I help people feel better and heal. I like to leave them feeling better than when they first came to see me. I tell them the truth, even if it’s not the most pleasant information to hear, I don’t tell people what they want to hear, I tell them what they NEED to hear to better their lives NOW. What sets me apart from others is my sense of humor, which makes heavy situations a lot more tolerable and information to be received well.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My future plans are always blooming with more learning techniques in various modalities, as my talents and skills reveal themselves and grow.

My upcoming adventure in training will be in Integrated Energy Therapy- a safe and gentle way of releasing energy blockages that can cause imbalance and disease in the body; It promotes healing in all areas of our mental, emotional, physical and spiritual selves.

At some point, I’ll be creating a completely different type of modality using every tool in my tool box, which will be so personally targeted.

I also plan on meditation recordings coming out based on the astrological new moon cycles, which were written when I was in my own Akashic Records, as well as various other tools and teachings for children and teenagers who are showing signs of various psychic abilities, but have no idea what to do with them.
