Meet Terrence Terrell of I Crowned Me

Today we’d like to introduce you to Terrence Terrell.

Emmy Winning Actor, Terrence Terrell was raised in the small town of Cleveland, Mississippi. He displayed an affinity for entertainment at a young age. As a child, he would entertain anyone who would watch and listen. The 80’s hit “My Prerogative” by Bobby Brown was one of the first songs he sang, danced and even performed to. “I don’t know what it was but there was something about it that made me just want to move” recalls Terrell. Throughout his teenage years, he was bullied but coped by turning the negativity into humor. As an adult, Terrell moved out of Mississippi to Los Angeles, California, to pursue a dream of acting and writing.

Terrence Terrell is a well-established actor known for his roles in shows like “Criminal Minds”, “Modern Family” and “Giants” to name a few. He is also the author of the critically acclaimed books “BLACKY” and “THE SHES”, “The CROWNED KIDS” and the empire keeps growing!

Has it been a smooth road?
The journey has been rough. I lost my father and my Grandparents my first year in La and my mother when my first book “Blacky” came out in 2017. I’ve pushed through the dark times to keep hope alive not just for myself but for others who come from similar backgrounds as me.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I named my business after my Grandmother Climmie Ola Davis. Ola productions is the umbrella company that produce my three self-published children’s books, clothing line, my music and soon short films that are in the works.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Los Angeles is truly the city of DREAMS. There is something in the air that tells you that the sky is the limit. It’s a place where dreams will always come true if you work hard and never give up on yourself or your vision.
