Meet Taylor Renee Castle

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Renee Castle.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Taylor. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’m a Hollywood actor who graduated from AMDA with a Bachelor’s degree in Musical Theatre. I started acting at Grants Pass high school in Oregon my senior year, but long before that, I knew I wanted to be an actor. I was always invested in sports (basketball in particular) so I never had time to perform, but I quit Basketball my final school year to pursue acting. I was accepted into AMDA in 2016 and graduated in June of 2019.

I had the opportunity to be enrolled with my now husband (Aaron Castle) and was able to add four show credits to my resume while being there. After graduating, I obtained representation through LA Talent and Upper Management, and have since done two shows, “Dysfunctional Family Christmas” and “Beauty and the Beast”. I am also a social media influencer on TikTok as a cosplayer and singer. On the side, I am employed with a party entertainment company in which I specialize in Disney Princess characters.

Has it been a smooth road?
Overall I consider myself lucky. I haven’t had to deal with too many challenges. The biggest for me was getting over my own fear of failure. I always felt like it was more important to follow other people’s dreams for me rather than my own. I’m so thankful I put my foot down in high school and said that theatre was what I wanted to do because had I not, my life would be so devoid of art right now. I also have lost many family members in the last two years. Two uncles and my beloved grandparents. All were so supportive of me and interested in my career.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I brand myself as an artist first. I am a creative person who loves to use art to entertain. I am an actor who doesn’t want to be limited to just one platform, so that’s why I began cosplaying. It combines my love for classical art (pencil, paper, clay) with my performance art. I now have a following of over 85,000 people on TikTok, and I’ve been lucky enough to meet other creators along the way who I am working on collaborations with. I am so proud to be doing what I love and have other people love it too!

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Anyone who has a creative mind can make something here. There isn’t that small town judgment you’d get anywhere else (other than NY). If you can think it, you can find others who will help you do it. I definitely recommend all actors, performers, artists, and creators to start here. If it’s not your final destination, it’s at least a stepping stone.
