Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Morgan.
Taylor, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
After my time in the Marine Corps and some life-changing “failures,” I worked as the head coach of the biggest CrossFit gym in Saudi Arabia. It was there that I realized people were coming into the gym expecting that one hour to offset the other 23 hours of an unhealthy lifestyle. That’s not how it works. If you don’t get good quality sleep, aren’t fueling your body with nutrient dense foods, or are stressed from work, exercising may do more harm than good because your body isn’t able to recover. So I quit my high paying job and created the world’s first (and best) holistic peak performance coaching program specifically for social entrepreneurs.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Absolutely not. If it had been, I wouldn’t move been pushing the limits of my potential. Anything worth doing isn’t supposed to be easy. Currently, my biggest struggle is marketing and getting my message out to the people who need it most. Just because you build something amazing doesn’t mean people will come.
As you know, we’re big fans of The Captain’s Lifestyle. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
The Captain’s Lifestyle Program is a 90-day, 1-on-1 lifestyle optimization program for social entrepreneurs who want to grow their impact and fulfill their entrepreneurial vision. We accomplish this by maximizing your health, happiness, and productivity while optimizing your work-life balance. Over the course of three months, we cover The 6 Pillars of Optimal Human Performance: 1. Mindset/Brain Health, 2. Sleep, 3. Communication, 4. Nutrition, 5. Exercise, and 6. Biohacks. Basically, everything you need to take you and your business from average to excellent. Everyone can benefit from these pillars but I only work 1-on-1 with impact entrepreneurs.
I work specifically with social entrepreneurs, impact investors, charitable company founders, philanthropists, and non-profit organizations. Basically, any entrepreneur whose primary objective is to make the world a better place, not financial gain (although once you align yourself to an impactful mission, the money follows).
I’m most proud that my success is directly related to the success of others. And because I help social entrepreneurs thrive, they are then able to help the world thrive.
I also host The Captain’s Lifestyle Podcast where I interview company founders to help spread their impact as well as SME’s who can help entrepreneurs maximize their potential. It’s available on all podcast platforms as well as YouTube. New episodes are released twice a week. PS: I’m always looking for new guests so if you or someone you know would like to be featured, send me an email ([email protected]).
Who else deserves credit in your story?
I always have at least one mentor or coach. I believe that some type of mentorship/coaching is not only crucial but REQUIRED to be a successful entrepreneur. Most notably, I would like to recognize Rachel Bell and her team at OCA, Brian Costello and his team at O23, and Michael Graham Walker at BrightLink Consulting. Rachel and OCA helped me set up my online coaching program from scratch, Brian and O23 helped me structure it around holistic lifestyle optimization, and Michael Walker helped me set up automated business systems.
